Prices.
Prices in Bar Oz are fairly normal. I'd say they're no cheaper or more expensive than any of the other bars. You'll also be able to pick up a few shooters etc. The choice is yours.
Amenities.
Toilets and facilities are pretty good. Although you have to go under the building itself (Using the stairs). You may get lost the first time you look for them but you soon get used to it. The bar also has an eating area ... more

It isn't actually in any of the main areas on a night out but it's usually just a daytime bar or somewhere that you'd go to watch the match. Everytime that i've been in the place has been packed which is always a good thing even though that you'll sometimes struggle to get to the bar.
Prices. Prices in Bar Oz are fairly normal. I'd say they're no cheaper or more expensive than any of the other bars. You'll also be able to pick up a few shooters etc. The choice is yours.
Amenities. Toilets and facilities are pretty good. Although you have to go under the building itself (Using the stairs). You may get lost the first time you look for them but you soon get used to it. The bar also has an eating area should you fancy popping in for a meal during the day while you've been shopping.
Clientele. This bar is mainly used by the football fans, during match days it will usually have the big screens on for the all important Newcastle matches. Students sometimes go in their too but not during match days.
Bar Staff. The bar staff are always friendly and I cannot complain. I think they mainly come from the Uni.
Food. Can't really say as i've never had any food from there.
Decor. As you'd expect Bar Oz has various paraphenalia to do with the aussie nation, surfboards etc. Has a pretty good aussie feel to it, apart from the heat. But in Newcastle, you can't really blame them.
All in all i'd say it's a fairly decent bar but it isn't really for starting a night off.
Advantages: huge place, loads of potential Disadvantages: completely deserted!
Been a Lancaster lad, i've only really experienced nightlife in and around the city. The only other time is when I strayed to the midsts of Preston a long time ago...only to experience very much the same feel Lancaster offers. So when my mate decided to take a road trip up to Durham and then stay in a travel lodge a group of us got together and chipped in the money. The motive been to check out the uni's of Durham and N'castle but also to have one jolly good night out on the lash...
We travelled into Newcastle and generally went around a lot of the pubs including Revolution, BarOz etc.. but as the night progressed we asked some locals who advise us on the club Legends. What with the cool sounding name we all decided to give it a shot, we paid £4 entrance fee and went in.
First impressions were good, 4 different floors ...
