Sam Lords Castle Barbados.
Advantages: Amazing weather, great views ,good nightlife. Disadvantages: People can be a little laid back.
Sam Lords Castle Barbados.
I was married in Barbados on 25th Feb 2000 at Sam Lords Castle; this was my second attempt at marriage and also my husband to be. So we decided to go away somewhere warm and inviting and do the wedding bit just for us instead of the worry of inviting hundreds of guests and all the hassle that goes with it.
When we set out on this task we were unsure as to where we wanted to go at first but decided on the Caribbean after ... ...and beverages
Use of the Sam Lords castle for our wedding
Lovely wee cart brought me from my room to where Alistair was waiting.
We had to pay extra for the photographer this cost us $260.00 for 24 prints and negatives and a lovely white leather bound album.
From the Airport:
We landed at Grantley Addams International Airport Barbados after a very long but pleasant flight. On stepping off the plane we were hit by the most ...

Barbados Reggae Bus
Advantages: great fun Disadvantages: avoid 3pm to 5pm
...experience!
These are the 'reggae (mini) buses'! Otherwise known as ZR's (license plate letters!) the buses are WHITE some with a maroon stripe down the side. It transpired we were on Route 11. There were loads of them about … the service was more frequent, more regular, and ran later at night.
Any trip on a reggae bus is nothing if not memorable. Our driver was an extremely relaxed fellow, smoking a thin cigarette throughout, sporting beard, dreadlocks, ... ...all locals, generated a great atmosphere as we went along ,chatting away, hopping on and off the bus. Quite a contrast to the sullen faces that so often populate our own buses nowadays. Everyone seemed to know someone else…loud friendly greetings and good humour everywhere.
The driver used his distinctive musical horn frequently to attract prospective customers as he approached stops, official and unofficial. Our speed could be described as leisurely…certainly ...

Fitts village not too far outside of holetown
Advantages: Home to some of the best people yourll ever meet Disadvantages: Roads by the beach can be very fast
There was a lovely little place called o cristals just over the road, by a lovely beach. There is not alot of beach by holetown, but you dont have to go very far at all really to find one. So isnt really a problem. There was alot of beach by fitts village and you could walk down and up it to find where you wanted to swim as barbados never allows anyone to privitise the beach. There is some amazeing beautiful things to see and we also found ourselves ... ...We rented jet skis from people off the beach, the 4 stroke engines go like hell. The 2 strokes go fast even with two people on. I will always have warm and loveing feelings for barbados and its amazeing people. They are so helpfull and are great to talk to. Barbados gave me a true feeling of being human and how much a person can enjoy themselves and enjoy being around others. Even if you didnt know them. This was my secound time to barbados, and ...

Bridgetown - get me back there.
Advantages: Lots to spend your money on. Disadvantages: Very busy and crowded
Bridgetown Barbados, well what can I say. I have been to Barbados 8 times and am so enamoured by the Island that I have bought land out there and brought home a stray dog from there too! The pace is very slow and laid back which takes some getting used to at first. We regularly go to Bridgetown, you can get a taxi, or just take the cheap bus, it only costs about one and half dollars, but it is not for the faint hearted. If you are staying at an all ... ...is good, you go to Bridgetown for it and go under the sea in a submarine, not for you if you get claustrophobic though. You can just drink the water straight from the tap, it is very pure. There are lots of sugar cane estates dotted all over the island. The rainy season is from June to October, we have been during rainy season and there were just some heavy showers that were over quickly, although I do know people who have had rain for the whole ...
