Barca Castlefield - Beautiful

Advantages: Near Canals, Away from Noise
Disadvantages: Expensive

Barca is situated in Castlefield amongst the picturesque canals surrounded by small bridges and grassy walkways. Barca is Castlefields Prime location for the areas upwardly mobile / yuppie population who dig deep to look good and to drink well.

Barca's main attribute being the lavish interior with no end to leather couches and comfortable seating arrangements, not to mention a top notch bar which sells only bottles and liquers at high ...
...and see the goodlooking then Barca Castlefield is an amazing place to go, home to Manchesters celebs and supermodels you are likely to see true physical beauty here.

Barca is a must in summer becuase it offers a large yard with outdoor seating close to a clean canal. There is truly nowehere else you can feel as relaxed as you would at Barca in summer. It boasts a true FEEL GOOD atmosphere but be warned:

Do not turn up ... more

Barca Barca Barca....gooooal!

Advantages: Excellent views, amazing football
Disadvantages: poor views form the 4th tier

, and if you miss one of the goals, they will replay the action. When the players walk out to the pitch, the Barca song plays. I couldn't understand a word, but there is lots of clapping!) The only other chant that ran through the game was 'Gooooooal!' when a player scored. A great atmosphere, although I'm used to Watford games being on the noisy side! One word of advice?if you can, make sure you sit in the section with the roof?otherwise if it rains as heavily as it did when we were there, you won't be able to see the game! (you can guess what happened to us!) *** Food and Drink *** There were hot dogs on offer costing a few Euros (£2), and the line stemmed all the way around to the next block. I noticed that many of the Spaniards like to bring their own food, usually sandwiches wrapped in tin foil! Unlike grounds in the UK, you can ...

Eat it or Climb it? There IS such a thing as too much food

Advantages: The food is good but there's too much of it
Disadvantages: The waiters are pushy, there's far too much waste

La Barca del Salamanca is one of many seafood restaurants in Barcelona's Port Olymico, a trendy place to eat and drink and watch the world go by. Back in September 2008 I was organising a training course for about 40 people and our local secretary recommended this for one of our evening meals. Since no bars or restaurants really get going in Barcelona until at least 9pm, we'd all been out touring the city in Go Cars (cute little vehicles with on-board sat nav and a running commentary) and after we dropped the cars back at their base, our coach picked us up and took us to the harbour, dropping us there at around 9.30pm. Finding La Barca del Salamanca wasn't too difficult because we had some local colleagues with us but I think even without their help, we would have found it hard to miss. We were given a massive table seating about ...

Nou Camp -Barca

Advantages: Atmosphere, good for all not just football fans
Disadvantages: none

Barcelona is on Spain's east coast, on the Mediterranean Sea. It is my favourite city in the world, or at least out of the cities I've been to! I have been to Barcelona on several occasions, which I will be adding to as soon as possible, but I fell in love with the city. There are loads of things to do in Barcelona, but the highlight of my trip was my visit to the Nou Camp. This is where Barcelona FC play their football matches, it is the biggest stadium in Europe and is absolutely amazing. I think the Nou Camp stadium is much more entertaining if you go to see an actual game. Although for you true football fans I suppose you might enjoy a tour of the stadium. I didn't see a Barca game but rather two different exposition games, Brazil vs. Catalunya, and another time Argentina vs, Catalunya, I just bought tickets at the stadium before ...
