...Barcelo Costa Mexico, Cancun
I recently visited Mexico on June 2008 and I stayed in the Barceló Costa hotel. Barceló Costa is situated on the hotel zone in Cancun. The hotel zone is built along the beach so each hotel has got their own section along the beach with a beach bar and sun loungers. The hotel is near Cancun town which has bars, nightclubs, restaurants and shopping markets and a 5 minute bus trip which costs around 30pence GBP to get to.
The hotel staff are very helpful and pleasant for example if you are lying on the beach there is one or two staff serving your drinks so there is no need to get off your seat. The staff in the restaurants is also helpful and can't do enough for you.
The rooms are very spacious and decorated very modern. There is a king-size bed in the double room with a large television. The bathroom is also...

Advantages: 'Some' Staff Disadvantages: Do You Want The List?
...If you are gong on holiday to this hotel I would advise you to change your booking if possible, after we looked in the Thomson Faraway Shores brochure we decided to descend on the Breezes for a number of reasons, such as the value for money, the All Inclusive package, and also having two succesful holidays in the Dominican Reopublic we decided to return, and also the pictures in the brochure make the hotel look like some sort of palace, well believe me its not, i would describe the 'hotel' as being more like a cheap hostel. There is no possible way that this hotel is a 4* as printed in the Thomson brochure, there was also talk whilst we were there that the hotel had been downgraded to a 3*, it doesnt even deserve that! I dont no were to start.
Food - Was very poor, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there was hardly any choice and also...

Advantages: Fantastic surroundings, brilliant staff, clean hotel Disadvantages: None!
...My partner and I (both early 20's) have stayed at this resort twice, both in and out of the summer season and I would recommend not only the hotel but the area itself to anyone thinking of going. Stunning beaches, great night-life for all ages and beautiful restaurants surround this grand hotel, with the bustling Las Americas resort a 10 minute walk one way and the beautiful Los Christianos 10 minutes the other. The rooms are bright, spacious and spotlessly clean, which goes for the whole hotel including the the restaurants, foyer, and beautiful marble corridors. The pool is indescribable, you really need to see a picture of it to believe it. The staff are firendly, polite and speak excellent English. Overall it may need a bit of a touch up, but I would give it 10/10 everytime....
