Barceló Combe Grove Manor Hotel, Bath

The Barcelo quite a nice hotelo :)

Advantages: Friendly staff, near bus stop, excellent food, comfy beds
Disadvantages: Long walk to some rooms, price of food if no included

and bath/shower combo. The thing I liked about their shower curtain is that there were magnets on the bottom of it to keep it in place which was great as it meant no spillages all over the floor, the only thing that annoyed me in the bathroom was that the plug was a bit poo, we filled the sink with ice one night to keep a pint of milk in and when we got up in the morning there was nothing in the sink except an undrinkable pint of milk so of course we had to use them little pots of milk they leave in your room which takes about 4 per cuppa lol. All of the rooms are of course non-smoking, but the hotel does have an area at the front of the building with tables and chairs which is covered for all thesmokers, there are also hallogen heaters so we don't get too cold :) They do have signes in the room informing you that if you smoke in them there ...

Review of Barceló Oxford Hotel, Oxford

Lansdowne Grove Hotel

Advantages: nice hotel, good restaurant
Disadvantages: ok room, loud wedding party

My other half and I stayed here last year for a weekend away. We booked it over the phone and stayed for 2 nights at £110 for a double room with dinner. The info arrived quickly in the post and we were impressed from the picures. We saw the hotel wasn't too far from the train station so decided to train & walk it (exercise - phew!). Getting There ------------------ Unfortunately, the hotel is at the top of a long hill - about 1 mile from station - argh!!! The walk was quite nice through the shops in the centre and Bath is very nice, however that hill is a killer - on the way down you can't stop!!! The hotel is on a bend in the road and stands tall and proud - looks very nice as you approach it. It has 45 rooms and 4 floors, with a dinning room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool. Tankersley Manor Hotel

Advantages: Excellent Location
Disadvantages: Quite Expensive

Tankersley Manor is a place that I have been to a few times over the years and it was also the location of my work's Christmas Party at the end of last year. It is a well known Hotel and Restaurant with a good local reputation. THE BACKGROUND From the outside Tankersley Manor is quite impressive to say the least, standing in its own well maintained Gardens and Grounds and surrounded by Woodland the building itself is a rather imposing Stone built building. The Hotel as you see it today has been extensively restored but it has been built around a 17th Century Manor House that once occupied the location. THE FACILITIES Tankersley Manor has a Restaurant, a Health Club and 70 rooms all with en suite facilities.
