Advantages: Fantastic hotel with something for everyone Disadvantages: Not near a sandy beach
I have been to this hotel twice and will return this year as my family have fallen in love with it.
The hotel is lovely, very clean and the rooms are very spacious, the junior suite are ideal for a family of 4, they are cleaned every day to a very high standard.
We were on an all inclusive package and the food was fantastic. I think even the fussiest of eaters would not complain.
The resturant is a buffet ... ..., yoghurt, cereal, bread, cooked food, cold meats, eggs, buscuits and cakes.
Lunch and dinner are similar but a bit more at dinner, there are salads, soups, different fish, different meats, potatoes, fries, lots of different pasta and sauces, rice, a cold buffett with a variety a choice of a meal like paella or lasange for eg, cheese, biscults, pate and lots of deserts and icecreams. There was also alot for vegerians.

The resturant is a buffet style and self service. Breakfast for instance has fruit , yoghurt, cereal, bread, cooked food, cold meats, eggs, buscuits and cakes.

You can order snacks by the pool all day and these snacks are very good, sometimes we woudl eat by the pool if we missed breakfast or lunch, my children loved the pizza and pasta.
The staff of all areas of the hotel are very friendly and helpful.
There are 3 swimming pools, a spa, a sauna, a gym, tennis courts, squash, games room and lots of room for sun bathing.
The pools are very clean, and suitable for children as well as adults, the sunbeds are put around the pools and towels are given out daily.
The views are fantastic, lovely mountains and watching the sun set is breathtaking.
The area where the hotel is situated is very quiet, if you want to look at the shops it is a 10 minute walk.
The is a bus service by the hotel that will take you to and from the beach or to the market .
There is a mini club for children and my children would spend time here, they really loved it and the staff are so friendly.
There is also lots of daytiime entertainment for the grown ups, lots of games and sports, the entertainment team are very fun to be with and are a good laugh.
In the evening there is also more entertainment, there is a disco for the children followed by a game, the children really enjoy this and the parents can also join in. We got some great photos to remember here.
This is followed by a show such as a live band or act or a show from the entertainment team, these evenings were all very enjoyable.
As far as my family are concerned this is the place to go and we look forward to our third year in a row there.
I would recommend this hotel to couples or familes.
The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere and we have always found other guests very pleasant.
Advantages: FANTASTIC LOCATION AND FRIENDLY STAFF Disadvantages: COULD BE CLOSER TO BEACH
...ABOUT 6 TIMES WITH OTHER BARCELO HOTELS IN THE CANARIES, CANNOT FAULT THE HOTEL GROUP. ON ONE VISIT TWINS WERE ONLY 18 MONTHS OLD, STAFF BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP, EVEN WITH FEEDING! WENT BACK AGAIN WITH THIRD CHILD, SAME FRIENDLY STAFF, WILL GO BACK AGAIN IN AUTUMN, FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING, SMALL POOL WAS LOVELY AND WARM, AND SUITE WAS AMAZING. KIDS CLUB WAS VERY GOOD, EVENING ENTERTAINMENT WAS OK, BUT THE STAFF TRIED VERY HARD. AND THE KIDS ENJOYED ... ...THEN THEY ARE FALLING OVER THEMSELVES TO SERVE YOU. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT EVERY BARCELO HOTEL. WOULD RECOMMEND THE ROOMS OVERLOOKING THE POOL AREA BASICALLY IN THE MAIN BLOCK, SUN IS THERE ALL AFTERNOON, SO IT WAS NICE TO SUNBATHE ON WHEN THE TWINS HAD THEIR NAP. ...

Advantages: Spectacular location, a variety of bars and restaurants close by Disadvantages: no sandy beach
An excellent hotel in Puerto Santiago on the west side of the island, away from the busy resorts, but close enough to all facilities. Transfer from the Airport was about 45 mins by taxi. The hotel is at the bottom of a hill but there are bars, restaurants and a few shops across the road from the hotel. A free hotel bus was available and took you to the beach and Los gigantes (about 5 min drive) which is well worth a visit. It is busier with a good ... ...trips go from there.
Most rooms have spectacular sea views and were clean and tidy. The room was a very comforable size for 2 adults, and had a fridge, satelite tv, telephone and balcony. I saw dolphins swimmimg by from the balcony one day.
Choice of food at breakfast and evening was fantastic, all buffet style, hot and cold. Breakfast included cheese's, meats, breads, fresh salmon (didn't have it but looked amazing), bacon and egg, cereals, amongst ...
