An often overlooked wonder
Review of Palau Güell (Barcelona) by Phil_P

Advantages: Less well known therefore less busy than other Gaudi sites
Disadvantages: Non really

Palau Guell is one of Gaudi's creations that people often seem to overlook. It's tucked away on a side street just off the bottom end of the Rambla and being on a fairly narrow street you can easily miss it as you don't get the grand view of it that you do of some of the other attractions. However it is equally worthy of your attentions as any of the others and shows another side to Gaudi's diverse styles. The interior of this I can best describe ...
...stairs and a very steep slope up from the subterranean stables so it's not really suitable for disabled visitors. Do try and get to see Palau Guell. The limited party size means it's not as busy as most other places and it is arguably one of Gaudi's more interesting buildings. ... Read review

Visit the Nou Camp!
Review of Nou Camp - Barcelona F.C. by beanie8844

Advantages: great value for money and loads to see
Disadvantages: none really

...rude not to visit the Nou Camp, home of Barcelona FC of the spanish football league. It is the largest stadium in Europe with a capacity of 98,772 - almost 10,000 more seats than the newly opened wembley stadium which cost £778million to build! It seems they're not satisfied with the current capacity as I was told on the tour of the stadium there are plans for expansion, taking the overall capacity over 100,000 - wow! When visiting the stadium you ...
...or as I did, both. Its excellent value for money and there is so much to see, it really is a truly awesome experience. The stadium tour takes you to many of the great places within the stadium, such as the players chapel, changing rooms (really impressive), players tunnel, pitchside dugout, the pitch (not always available to walk onto), the press area and the club presidents box ( features the best view in the whole stadium). It really is a great ... Read review

Barcelona F.C, Nou Camp - Tour
Review of Nou Camp - Barcelona F.C. by mad.man.560

Advantages: Get to go in almost evert part of the stadium.
Disadvantages: Highly prices foo and drinks.

I have recently traveled to Barcalona and this was the highlight of my trip. The football stadium has main transport links through a number of tourism buses, including the citysightseeing bus (blue route). Also there are transport links through the underground metro and tram. The tour is roughly around 17 euros each for an adult. The tour lets you go around the main features pf the stadium. You get to experiance the guest changing rooms where famous ...
...then you also get to go pass the small chapel where the footballers can pray before a match. After that you get to go to the press room where the confrences take place. Then you get to go matchside and see what the stadium is like from the heart. Then you get to sit in the standered seats and then the brodcasting / V.I.P seats at the top. After you get to go to the museum and see the famous trophys and awards that the football club have achives. ... Read review

Barcelona!
Review of Getting around in Barcelona by lyndi2710

Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: The expense of eating and drinking on Los Ramblas!

I was taken to Barcelona for a surprise trip last October. And what a surprise- it was an amazing city with so much to offer! We stayed in the University area of the city, about a ten minute trip into the city centre using the underground. We found there was so much to see and do it was hard to fit it in to the few days we were there. I would however recommend a few things to definitely do- take some time to wander up and down Los Ramblas, there ...
...are a feast for the eyes (and the stomach!) Take the time to sit and watch the sunset on the waterfront- it is truely beautiful. Try and find places to eat in little backstreets, full of Barcelonians they are the best! Also try Place Reail (sp!), there is a restaurant that always has a queue outside- but trust me, it's worth it! We found the underground the easiest, and cheapest way to get around. Buy a 5 day ticket and you can jump on and off as ... Read review
