A GREAT CITY TO VISIT
Review of Barcelona (Spain) by ruth1957

Advantages: There is always more to see
Disadvantages: none

Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain .it is situated between the Collserola Hills to the north and to the south the Mediterranean.Collserola is part of the coastal mountain range that shelters the north-west part of the city of Barcelona. The highest point of this mountain range is the peak of Tibidabo and it has amazing views over the city. The climate is typical of the Mediterranean with mild dry winters and warm humid summers. The coldest ...

what a city !!
Review of Barcelona in general by supertec

Advantages: so many different attractions for all ages
Disadvantages: not enough time to do everything

we visted for the first time last week. the best city ever visited. every thing was so perfect. the locals are helpful and friendly, the place is safe, and very reasonabley priced . our hotel was in the Barrie Gothic and even at midnight was safe for 2 60 year old pensioners.will certainly be back. Las Ramblas was an experience and strolling down it must not be left out. we did it every day. The best bargain is aT10 travel ticket, which enables 10 ... Read review

Barcelona!
Review of Getting around in Barcelona by lyndi2710

Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: The expense of eating and drinking on Los Ramblas!

I was taken to Barcelona for a surprise trip last October. And what a surprise- it was an amazing city with so much to offer! We stayed in the University area of the city, about a ten minute trip into the city centre using the underground. We found there was so much to see and do it was hard to fit it in to the few days we were there. I would however recommend a few things to definitely do- take some time to wander up and down Los Ramblas, there ...
...are a feast for the eyes (and the stomach!) Take the time to sit and watch the sunset on the waterfront- it is truely beautiful. Try and find places to eat in little backstreets, full of Barcelonians they are the best! Also try Place Reail (sp!), there is a restaurant that always has a queue outside- but trust me, it's worth it! We found the underground the easiest, and cheapest way to get around. Buy a 5 day ticket and you can jump on and off as ... Read review

Sailing in a 33 feet racing catamaran in Barcelona
Review of 25knots - Fast Sailing in Barcelona by evalib

Advantages: exciting, funny, ... a perfect day
Disadvantages: you might get exhausted

...catamaran owned by 25knot.com 25knots is the only spanish company I've heard of that believes in racing catamarans. Their offer is simple: go sailing for 4-5 hours in the Barcelona coast with a 33feet high performance racing catamaran. During the 4-5 hours you have the chance to learn how to sail a radical boat. They let you stear the boat, trim the main sail, the jib, the spinniker, ... basically you play all the posible roles in a racing team. ...
...12 knots with brezes of less than 7-8 knots. If you don't peak 12 knots they give you a 50% discount. Last Sunday when we went sailing with the didgeridoo, we peaked 16 knots in a day with really small winds ... I doubt that any other boat would go faster than 7 knots. Once you have shown a minimal expertise they let you participate in a regatta with your own racing team. This is something really want to try ... you can find all the required info ... Read review

He's from Barcelona
Review of Barcelona (Spain) by brereton66

Advantages: Everything you want on a city break
Disadvantages: Too many things to do

Barcelona ^^^^^^^^^ Barcelona is one of the most popular city break destinations in Europe, and for several very good reasons. It is only a short flight from the UK and with budget airlines can be very cheap to reach. Being a coastal city the climate is not too oppressive for our sensitive natures and there is a little bit of everything available to keep just about any kind of visitor entertained. There are bars, restaurants and night life if that’s ...
...and really immerse yourself. With Barcelona the quick tripper has to make a lot of decisions about what to see and what to leave out which is why you can find yourself heading home with as many regrets as happy memories. This isn’t intended to be a comprehensive guide to Barcelona; you really would need a book to do that. What I will do is talk about some of the places I visited, some of things I saw and some, hopefully, useful tips for anyone thinking ... Read review
