A noisy room or a small room? Advantages: close to attractions Disadvantages: noisy rooms, small rooms I can`t believe that I saw this hotel at ciao.co.uk top products without reviews because I have actually stayed there last month. The taxi from the airport costs 28 euros but keep in mind that they charge for the luggae as well. I think that it was 3 or 4 euros per bag. Bring credit crads with you as they want to swipe it befor you check in. They need to hold some money in case of mini bar usage or some damage to the room. If you don`t have a credit ... ...a deposit. The room we were in was really, really noisy. It is good that the hotel is situate really close to the main attractions and sights but it is also on a main road, so you can imagine the noise. Although it was better then the NH hotel in Dortmund where my room was literarly above the train station. If you want quiter room, they will put you on the back of the hotel, but the rooms are tiny. Honestly the smallest rooms I have ever seen. Hotel Balmes - great hotel in a great spot of Barcelona! Advantages: Great location to Metro stations Modern, clean and comfortable furnishings Good staff Disadvantages:* Pool is small Expensive food and drinks in the hotel ...we walked past! Location, location, location Advantages: Location, value for money, free internet laptop usage Disadvantages: Not many hangers Spent three nights here with five girlfriends for a 'big' birthday and could not have been happier with the location, rooms, reception, cleanliness and atmosphere. The hotel is in an old building and has an impressive huge carved wooden door but inside all is modern and minimalist. The garden area behind reception is pretty but there are lots of steps to reach all the levels. We didn't try the bar as there are loads of bars and cafes nearby. Helpful ... ...'room only' as it is far cheaper to get a breakfast of anywhere choice in the city (Cafe de L'Opera round the corner is divine). Each of the three rooms we had was spacious and spotless, with big bathrooms and walk-in showers. Ours had a small balcony and all windows had blackout curtains as well as voiles. Like most hotels, it didn't have many hangers but that would be my only gripe. Fantastic Hotel! Definately worth paying a visit Advantages: Friendly service, high levels of cleanliness, fantastic location, room amenities, good food etc etc! Disadvantages: Only thing i can think of was TV picture quality was not excellent on all channels Staying at this hotel is a pleasure, the service is friendly, prompt and very good. It is in a brilliant location, easy walking distance to the beach and port (around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace). The room was really nice, with large windows with a lovely view and a good bathroom (must say i enjoyed their shower very much!). It was very clean when we arrived and each day when we returned it was wonderfully clean. This is a hotel that takes ... ...your holiday or business trip just that bit better. The rooms all have tv (with many programs in a variety of languages including English), air con, phone, a socket for your pc -for internet access i presume (i did not use it!), a fridge which was well stocked and even guide books about the area in a drawer! Something i find important when i am away is how comfortable is the bed?! Europark Hotel, Barcelona Advantages: Great Location Disadvantages: None The Location Of Europark Hotel The Europark is a three star hotel in L'Eixample district on Arago. It is in a fantastic location very close to the Passeig de Gracia and a short walk to Las Ramblas and the Barri Gotic (about fifteen minutes walk). The metro and trains get you anywhere you want to go in Barcelona and its only a five minute walk to the nearest station. The metro and trains are reasonably priced. Metro is 1 euro per ride.
