Hotel Balmes - great hotel in a great spot of Barcelona! Central and Ideally Placed, Hotel Roma Reial Advantages: Perfect location, excellent Hotel if you just want somewhere to sleep Disadvantages: A little hard to find, nothing really major though, Breakfast could have been more substantial ...the city but decided that Roma Reial fitted the bill better than any of the others. It's located just off Las Ramblas, the main street in Barcelona where a lot of the cities drinking establishments are located. The Roma Reial is located in the Placa Reial about 200 meters from the bottom of Las Ramblas. The Placa is quite easy to find and seems to be one of the more popular locations in the city where a number of bars and restaurants are located. ... ...as well and booking it well in advance certainly seems to be advisable. If you are looking for a cheap hotel to lay your head this is certainly one I'd recommend, central and ideally located for pretty much everything. Great Location, Great Staff - Husa Meson Castilla Advantages: Great location, comfortable rooms Disadvantages: Not many facilities ...the hotel himself describes the Husa Meson Castilla as 'a simple two star hotel, but for those who are watching their budget, it is not only moderately priced, but also well located and offers an old-world ambience'. I would agree whole heartedly with this statement, but don't be put off by the lack of more stars. As you may know, stars are awarded for facilities in a hotel and not the standard of the rooms, etc. Whilst this hotel doesn't have masses ... ...prices. - -Location- - The location is perfect. Just down a well-lit and fairly buzzing side street off the Ramblas, it's a mere five minute walk to the centre of the action. The nearest underground train station is at the top of the Ramblas (probably an extra two minutes walk) and is called Catalunya. Europark Hotel, Barcelona Advantages: Great Location Disadvantages: None The Location Of Europark Hotel The Europark is a three star hotel in L'Eixample district on Arago. It is in a fantastic location very close to the Passeig de Gracia and a short walk to Las Ramblas and the Barri Gotic (about fifteen minutes walk). The metro and trains get you anywhere you want to go in Barcelona and its only a five minute walk to the nearest station. The metro and trains are reasonably priced. Metro is 1 euro per ride.
