Location, location, location

Advantages: Location, value for money, free internet laptop usage
Disadvantages: Not many hangers

Spent three nights here with five girlfriends for a 'big' birthday and could not have been happier with the location, rooms, reception, cleanliness and atmosphere. The hotel is in an old building and has an impressive huge carved wooden door but inside all is modern and minimalist. The garden area behind reception is pretty but there are lots of steps to reach all the levels. We didn't try the bar as there are loads of bars and cafes nearby. Helpful ...
...'room only' as it is far cheaper to get a breakfast of anywhere choice in the city (Cafe de L'Opera round the corner is divine). Each of the three rooms we had was spacious and spotless, with big bathrooms and walk-in showers. Ours had a small balcony and all windows had blackout curtains as well as voiles. Excellent Location & Outstanding Customer Service

Advantages: Minutes walk to La Rambla and Plaza Catalunya
Disadvantages: Bed Mattress that gave me back pain in the morning (however, it did not happen to my mom and aunty)

NH Calderon is situated in the heart of Barcelona, minutes walk from lively street La Rambla that leads towards the sea side, EasyJet Internet Cafe and Plaza Catalunya where you can get onto the City Tour Busses or go out to eat or shopping! I would say this hotel is located very well! Its very close to Metro as well. The customer service is of an outstanding quality! The receptionists are well manerred, very friendly and jolly and helpful as well. ...

Fantastik Hotel Praktik

Advantages: Excellent price, comfort, location, service.
Disadvantages: No restaurant, not much of a problem though.

My experience on the rambla in Barcelona

Advantages: There are many great restaurants, exciting place, great nightlife and friendly people
Disadvantages: It is quite crowded, some shops/restaurants may be expensive

I have been to Barcelona twice and i had unforgetable experiences both times. If you walk along the Rambla, you may be surprised at how exciting it actually is.
