Praktik Rambla - New stylish hotel in the centre of Barcelona
Advantages: Fantastic design of the hotel, great location, great price, friendly staff, very clean hotel
Disadvantages: No minibar or tea/coffee making facilities, 'open-space' bathroom, TV loosing signal

Please DO NOT CONFUSE with Hotel Praktik on Calle Diputacio (also in Barcelona centre) which is a combination of hostel/hotel with less comfort than this place (although both are located close to each other and belong to the same group of hotels/owner)

The central location of the hotel is great for shopping trips, sightseeing, dining, nightlife and very close to transport ...
...than 5 minutes from the hotel is Placa Catalunya – one of the main train and metro stations, from where you can literally get anywhere inside and outside of Barcelona. Try to go to the beautiful beaches outside of the city in Mataro, Castelldefels or Sitges.

awful experience, they stole our money
Advantages: position
Disadvantages: no cleaninless, awful owner
someone stole part of our money from the rooms. none could be but the owners because they only have the keys. the hostel doesn't have people who clean the rooms, you must do it by yurself. the owner only speak spanish and she is very unkind. there is no kitchen, no reception and no service in the hostel. don't trust the official web site: the towels are included but they don't give you if you don't ask and if you want to change after some days you ...

Great Location, Great Staff - Husa Meson Castilla
Advantages: Great location, comfortable rooms
Disadvantages: Not many facilities
...the hotel himself describes the Husa Meson Castilla as 'a simple two star hotel, but for those who are watching their budget, it is not only moderately priced, but also well located and offers an old-world ambience'. I would agree whole heartedly with this statement, but don't be put off by the lack of more stars. As you may know, stars are awarded for facilities in a hotel and not the standard of the rooms, etc. Whilst this hotel doesn't have masses ...

The location is perfect. Just down a well-lit and fairly buzzing side street off the Ramblas, it's a mere five minute walk to the centre of the action. The nearest underground train station is at the top of the Ramblas (probably an extra two minutes walk) and is called Catalunya. This is on of the main stations and, as a result, you can get to anywhere in Barcelona from here very easily. -

Europark Hotel, Barcelona

The Location Of Europark Hotel
The Europark is a three star hotel in L'Eixample district on Arago. It is in a fantastic location very close to the Passeig de Gracia and a short walk to Las Ramblas and the Barri Gotic (about fifteen minutes walk). The metro and trains get you anywhere you want to go in Barcelona and its only a five minute walk to the nearest station. The metro and trains are reasonably priced.
Metro is 1 euro per ride.

Hotel Balmes - great hotel in a great spot of Barcelona!
Advantages: *Great location to Metro stations *Modern, clean and comfortable furnishings *Good staff
