Baronnet Apartments, Gold Coast MC

Advantages: location to public transport, burleigh township and markets
Disadvantages: nothing really

...We booked this accommodation as it was affiliated to my partners work and we were wanting to stay away from the high-traffic Surfers Paradise itself. It is situated only approx. 300m from Burleigh Heads township and very handy to shops and restaurants/cafes. It is around 50m walk to the ocean at the end of the avenue and handy to the Burleigh Heads Markets which are held on a regular basis on a Sunday. The accommodation itself was brilliant as was the service and the apartments come with all the items you would need in the kitchen to be self-supporting. Handy to buses into Surfers on the main road outside the complex itself and has its own pool and the apartments come with a carpark as well (secured). We were more than happy with our apartment and would not hesitate to book in there again!... Read review

The kitchen was very well equipment, although we only used it for breakfast Dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven, toaster etc. The were a number of fire alarms whilst we were there (not caused by us!) mostly caused by toasters. There was also a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The furnishings were a little tired but OK. There are two pools (the outside one was closed as mentioned above) but there was also an indoor one. We used the indoor one once whilst it was raining, and it had a leaky roof. There are spa facilities on site, but we did not use them. The resort was not full whilst we were there (perhaps people knew about the building work). ...Located on Australia's Gold Coast the 'Palazzo Versace' is 5 star hotel from, you guessed it, Versace, the Italian design house. The world's first, if you will!! Versace is known for its incredibly opulent & flamboyant style....and if you go expecting it, you certainly won't be disappointed!! This is the hotel all the celebs stay at once they are kicked out of 'I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here'...so with some judicious planning, you may get to rub shoulders with some newly resurrected D-list stars!!
