Due to the suggestion that my original review about this wonderful city I live in was a copy, I am writing yet more to this review. And this really is for the benefit of everyone. I want to let you all know how lovely Bath is and that you should visit some day.

Bath is a wonderful place to visit and I will suggest to you some of the highlights you could consider when visiting this beautiful city.

Hot air ballooning is a majory activity in Bath, and also Bristol. Many companies offer morning or evening flights across the city of Bath, with wonderful views of the area. Having been on a flight across Bath myself, I would definately recommend doing it. (As long as you don't mind heights!!)

If you enjoy activity on your holiday then there are lots of places for mountain or road biking. Bikes can be hired from Avon Valley Cyclery which is situated behind theBath Spa Railway station. Adrenalin High on Walcot Street are great for advice on adventure sports in Bath and do suplly the equipment.

The Victoria Art Gallery is opposite Pulteney Bridge and is Bath's largest gallery. With temporary exhibitions, the feel changes regularly, however there is a permanent display upstairs.

Owned by the City of Bath College, The Hotbath Gallery on Hotbath Street exhibits students work and contributions from international artists.

Clubbing in Bath is usually found to be underground as most clubs are in old Victorian houses in the cellars. Moles has live music, wereas somewhere like PoNaNas covers most mainstream tastes. There is another club, the biggest in Bath, called Cadillacs. This is a club for those that like to listen to chart music.

Bath holds its infamous Bath International Music Festival and Fringe Festival, for which people flock from across the globe. The festival season kicks off in February with the Bath International Literature festival and continues right through with the hot air balloon festival as well as guitar, film, beer and Shakespeare festivals. The Mozartfest in November is the last festival of the year.

You cannot visit Bath without tasting the Spa water. It bubbles up to a fountain in the Pump Room and a glassful of the famous healing water, served warm, but does taste odd.

Sally Lunn's (known worldwide) is famous for cooking up the first Bath Bun. Sally Lunn's house in North Parade Passage and is said to be the oldest house in Bath. The house is now both a café and small museum.

Don't miss the twice monthly Farmers Market at Green Park Station. Everything is local produce and there is a mouthwatering selection of seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheeses, fish, meat and much more.

The famous attractions of Bath include; the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, Bath Abbey, No1 Royal Crescent, the Assembly Rooms and the Museum of Costume. The Jane Austen Centre is also worth a visit.

Bath has a high number of independent shops. This gives the city its own unique character and makes it one of the most popular shopping destinations outside of London. The city centre is well known for designer clothing and antiques.

Bath is mad about food so you can find every pot, pan and gadget you could ever want within the city's stores, not to mention fine cheese shops and mouthwatering delicatessens.

There are regular walking tours of Bath including Ghost Walks and even a Comedy Walk. The city centre is best explored by foot. The Tourist Information Office in Abbey Churchyard has maps of the city to help you find your way around.

As well as the museums mentioned before, don't miss the Royal Crescent and the Circus, Queen Square, Abbey Churchyard, Abbey Green or the Cross Bath tucked away down Bath Street. Visit Pulteney Bridge and the Weir, along with the Parade Gardens.

If you have the energy, take a walk up Lansdown Hill and turn into Camden Crescent for some of the most breathtaking views of Bath.

Bath has three theatres of which the largest and most famous is the Theatre Royal, opened in 1805 and steeped in history. Popular with actors as both a pre and post West End venue, Bath is able to host many of the best productions here.

The Ustinov Studio is the little sister of the Theatre Royal and is hiden away on Monmouth Street. This is where the 'alternative' theatre happens.

I do hope that this review of the wonderful Roman city of Bath has encouraged you to visit and I also hope it has given you some ideas of what to expect, see and do on your visit. I live only 10 minutes from the city and find that many other people from this area do not appriciate what is on their doorsteps.

An excellent place to visit.

And my recommendation: Come along and find out.
