This restaurant is filthy and a health hazzard Advantages: The front door Disadvantages: The rest of the restaurant, the food and the staff We tried this restaurant as some reviews looked good, but. The food was warm, the staff extremely rude. If you don't like it tough there is the door but pay the bill or we will throw you out! The toilets were filthy beyond belief with no soap or paper and wont mention the state of the toilets. T get to the toilets you have to pass the kitchen and can only say that they looked a bit like the toilets. DON'T go to Tilley's if you want to feel welcomed Advantages: goo central location Disadvantages: poor service, poor atmosphere, hostile reception I recently wrote a review on Demuths (a vegetarian restaurant) which i rated as excellent. Unfortunately i cannot say the same for this particular experience. We went to Demuths the day before and were looking for a similarly small interesting restaurant - we were so disappointed. I cannot comment on the quality of food as everything else was so bad that we left before we ordered, so this is not a comprehensive review, however we were just so offended ... ...know (well those of you that are interested!) LOCATION This restaurant is in a good location situated near to the Abbey, so it's central and down a lovely little "bistro alleyway". This restaurant has a particularly late sitting and is open to 11pm, an hour later than most other restaurants in this area. I rememeber the waiter for our table being especially great with the small children giving them a lolli pop and making sure they were happy. Delicious Greek food in Bath Advantages: Excellent food, great service, nice surroundings Disadvantages: None ...a free meal I suggested Opa Meze as I’d been there once for a work do and thought it was really nice. LOCATION: Opa Meze is located at 14 North Parade, Bath. It’s pretty much in the centre of the city. Those of you who know Bath will know that it’s not very big so the centre is easily walked around. The nearest parking is at the Bath Sports Centre (which is council run so you don’t have to use the centre to use the car park) or the Saw Close car ... ...a weekend. Opa is an underground restaurant and bar. It is down some quite steep steps and as far as I’m aware there is no lift (and due to Bath being a UNESCO World Heritage Site I’m guessing there isn’t much opportunity to put one in). We were seated at our table and as we were the only ones in there at the start they let us have the choice. Inside the restaurant is like an underground whitewashed cavern. Jazz Cafe - Charming, Unpretentious and Worth a Visit! Advantages: Good Food, Nice Atmosphere and Lively Disadvantages: Can be a little pricey... ...sit somewhere nice indoors. The Jazz Cafe sets to remedy this by giving us the option of siting in an atmospheric environment and eating some lovely grub for a reasonable price. Food And Drink You can eat and drink all sorts of things here. The breakfasts range from various things on toast (including eggs) and light bites to the Jazz Cafe Breakfast - which is a double the usual size full English. That'll sort you out for a day walking around ... ...the £4 mark and the Jazz Cafe Breakfast around £5. Yes, a little pricey, but you wont find this amount of food at this quality anywhere else in Bath. Anyway, this means that getting breakfast here is more of a treat than an every day thing.
