A Taste of Morocco in Bath
Advantages: Good food, atmosphere and location Disadvantages: Not disabled friendly
Wandering around Bath late one Saturday afternoon, there seemed to be coffee shops at every turn but not much sign of restaurants. A visit to the Tourist Information Office solved the problem, as they gave us a leaflet showing a variety of eateries situated in the city centre. We narrowed it down to two, and soon found ourselves outside the Cafe du Globe, described as a Moroccan and international restaurant. It was about 5.15pm and a group of people ... ...too late for afternoon tea but that they were welcome to have dinner. When our turn came we thought the proprietor, a Mr Benjelloun, was telling us that we would have to wait for a table until 7pm, but fortunately it turned out that we would have to vacate the table by 7pm. That suited us, so in we went. The restaurant is quite small, and there was just one table for four free to one side. Both tables and chairs are of very sturdy dark wood. The ...

This restaurant is filthy and a health hazzard
Advantages: The front door Disadvantages: The rest of the restaurant, the food and the staff
We tried this restaurant as some reviews looked good, but. The food was warm, the staff extremely rude. If you don't like it tough there is the door but pay the bill or we will throw you out! The toilets were filthy beyond belief with no soap or paper and wont mention the state of the toilets. T get to the toilets you have to pass the kitchen and can only say that they looked a bit like the toilets. The desert was served as a home made product freshly ... ...to the table as well as your glass and the cutlery was replaced three times before a clean set was found. We left this restaurant refusing to pay for the food but agreed to pay for the wine. We were threatened not with the police but the family. We had to call the police to tell them! clients beware. ...

Experience
The Bottelinos Resturant in bath is located at the top of town nearby many of the cities top resturants and bars. The Bath resturant is owned by Angelo Nicastro and was first opened in 1985. ... ...I found the staff at Bottelinos extremely helpful and entertaining. They made a real effort to satisfy you and get what you need. They are very welcoming and are very child friendly. I rememeber the waiter for our table being especially great with the small children giving them a lolli pop and making sure they were happy. This gives the adults a more relaxed feeling and they can enjoy the food without having to worry about the children. General Info

Getting Funked up in Bath
Advantages: Good service, good food Disadvantages: Forgot my coffee
Dear me, I've had a ground breaking experience, a revelation, a gift from God. You see last week I went to Garfunkels in Bath and...it was GOOD!! Much maligned on Ciao, I had been to Garfunkels in London which seem to be on every corner, looks like a dingy Italian, all red check and brown wood, and staffed by miserable Norwegian students! But we are talking Bath here, and the council are a bit fussy about what they'll allow in their city and fast ... ...trying to get rid of the McDonalds in the town centre and the Pizza Hut and KFC are only tolerated because they are in side streets. But Garfunkels in Bath is in the old Empire Hotel, an imposing grandiose building on the rive front. As you walk in its a tad jaw-dropping, enormous vaulted ceilings, gilt mirrors and pot palms everywhere which sets off the perfectly clean, varnished floors and tables. There are two different rooms, one for smokers ...

Delicious Greek food in Bath
Advantages: Excellent food, great service, nice surroundings Disadvantages: None
...a free meal I suggested Opa Meze as I’d been there once for a work do and thought it was really nice. LOCATION:
Opa Meze is located at 14 North Parade, Bath. It’s pretty much in the centre of the city. Those of you who know Bath will know that it’s not very big so the centre is easily walked around. The nearest parking is at the Bath Sports Centre (which is council run so you don’t have to use the centre to use the car park) or the Saw Close car ... ...a weekend. Opa is an underground restaurant and bar. It is down some quite steep steps and as far as I’m aware there is no lift (and due to Bath being a UNESCO World Heritage Site I’m guessing there isn’t much opportunity to put one in). We were seated at our table and as we were the only ones in there at the start they let us have the choice. Inside the restaurant is like an underground whitewashed cavern. There is exposed Bath stone in places and ...
