Beachcomber Hotel, Blackpool

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Stay was too short

...What can I say except an excellent end to our honeymoon in a fantastic hotel. On arrival to our hotel room we had a full fruit platter and a chocolate cake as a gift from the hotel and also a voucher for a free bottle of wine in one of the bars. The only downside to our stay was we only had two nights, so could not try every one of the bars and restaurants. We went on a desert jeep safari one evening which was great and also gave us the opportunity to try some local food. The other evening we went to the "beachcombers" restaurant in the hotel which was great and buggy transport was provided! Advantages: tonnes of attractions
Disadvantages: it gets crowded

...Blackpool is a fab place to visit. the beach is alright the tower is really cool and the theme park is the muts nuts the badgers nadgers and the bees knees all rolled into one. there are so many hotels along one big strip, it is easy to get from the hotels to the attractions because there is a cheap but efficient tram service. Another way of getting around is in a horse drawn carrage but that looks a bit rubbish. There is a real big array of lights running along the sea front which are on at nights in the autum. Blackpool is a must see place, best for a weekend or day trip.... Read review

Advantages: Reasonable price, reasonable quality!
Disadvantages: Not perfect, and rubber eggs!

...Last year at a time when things were particularly stressful my mum emailed me to say that a friend was getting married and that them, me and hubby, and a couple and their son (him, the groom and myself grew up together) were going to be invited - and that the wedding was going to be in Jersey as that is where the bride's family are from. It was great to have something to look forward to and some good news, so once we had the dates we searched the Internet for places to stay. The Beachcombers was one which stuck out as it was reasonably priced. I went onto Expedia on 11th December 2007 and booked our holiday during an advert break. Our family friends booked their at the same time, but we had got the last room Expedia had. Therefore the others booked direct with the hotel. They were flying from Gatwick, and us from Manchester...
