In pictures i saw before i went,it looked very nice,
but the hotel is right on the road and its very noisy at night,i always thought i had left open the window or something
... ...the room itself, there are two beds,a tv with all the normal channels, two bedside tables,a hairdryer,a desk with 3 drawers, the tv side ontop of a chest of drawers with 3 drawers, two bathrooms,on with a shower and sink and one with a toilet and a bidet.
When you leave your room you are given a piece of paper and you have to hand you key in so obviously you dont run away with it or anything.

And upon arrival back at the hotel you produce the card and they return your key There are two lifts in the building,so this would be good for wheelchair users.
You can have a twin room aswell, there is a locked door between each room so if you have children that would be best to have a twin room. The room itself is very old fashioned.
There is a bar and a restaurant, although the menu isnt very extensive right across the road is a subway, theres a pizza express Also a nice little french restauraunt beside the hotel
The nearest station is holborn,or russel square.its about a 15minute walk to either, they are of equal distance from the hotel.
I dont really reccommend this to people.you're better finding a nicer hotel.
Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Decor isn't that nice.

Advantages: Conveniently located and reasonably cheap Disadvantages: Only if you get the noisy room
Cosmo BedfordHotel is conveniently located along Great Russell Street. The bus stops are nearby, as well as the underground stations.
It's a family run hotel, if I'm not mistaken is still run by a French family. The last time I stayed there there was a cosy TV lounge where every guest can sit around and mingle, there was a large screen TV with many channels. Every room has a TV as well although not all the TV's in the rooms worked well, especially with the lack of proper antenna. If you get the room at the basement facing the road you may not like staying there long, but if you ask for a student's room, they just might give you the one facing the quiet garden with a student desk, and the toilet and bathroom just outside the room, unless something has changed drastically since I last stayed there. ...
Advantages: location Disadvantages: jaded, numbers of guests
/pushchair.
A leisure centre and swimming pool is in the basement although was shut for refurbishment whilst we were there. Apparently it costs £4 to use it for guests and is run by the YMCA.
***Will I stay there again?***
I am absolutely, 100% certain that I will never set foot in this hotel again. There has got to be other hotels in London for the same price that offers a more comfortable experience and whilst they may not have the location of the St Giles given the excellent tube network it is easy to get where you want to go.
***Information***
St Giles Hotel, Bedford Avenue, London, WC1B 3AS Tel: 020-7300-3000. They do have a website www.stgiles.com but it has limited information on it.
***Conclusion***
I left feeling this hotel simply needed a damn good scrub and some serious modernisation. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing ...
Advantages: The cost of booking over the internet. Disadvantages: The delays of staff response
Hi all i have made a mistake with this review this is for the St. Giles hotel in bedford avenue London not the one that i have written the review for sorry for any inconvenience. Silly me
The address is Bedford Avenue, Bloomsbury, Camden, London, WC1B 3AS
My girlfriend and me stayed at the St. Giles hotel while visiting London as we were going to see the Backstreet boys, well I was dragged along.
We looked everywhere over the Internet and the St. Giles was the nicest one we could find at a good price, well for London anyway.
The hotel is just off Oxford Street and near Tottenham court road tube station. Therefore it is ideal for shopping and great for getting on the tube to other destinations. There is also a theatre where you can watch musicals just up the road about 100 meters away so you do not have to worry about taxi ...
Bedford Hotel is a small friendly London hotel ideal for both business and pleasure. It is situated very close to The British Museum in the centre of London. Theatreland, shopping centres and Mainline Railway Stations are conveniently close and the area is well served by public transport as well as the Airport bus. As well as the French style Restaurant, bar and coffee shop there is a beautiful, well kept, secluded rear garden of the Bedford Hotel where guests can relax with a drink or snack, a resident\\\'s lounge, an underground garage and a private room for up to 12 people.
