Belfast International Airport (Belfast Aiport)
I flew out of belfast airport around four years ago, when I did fly out of the airport it was a bad time to fly out. The day before we where to depart to orlando the shoe bomber came on the scene! So the airport secuirty was put up. But the airline I was travelling with most of their planes had Technical difficuilties. So I was delayed for 30 hours and had to stay in the Hilton over night. So I should be able to tell you enough about it as I was in it for 24 hours.
Area... The Belfast airport isn't in belfast, it is closer to Antrim a city near belfast. The airport is around 12 or 13 miles away from Belfast. So I don't know why they called it Belfast International Airport. But there is a hotel beside the airport. So if you have a early flight and you coudn't be bothered to get up even earlier and drive to the airport. There is also many other services to do with your car etc. The Airport though is in a good area where there isn't much crimes.
Check in... Once you get into the first building there is check in so you don't have to carry your bags around an airport for half an hour just to check in! There is also baggage trolleys if you want to use one. After check in you are free to roam the airport until you are called to you gate. You can goto a healthy cafe, a bar or burger king before you go through customs. When you go through customs there is various restaurants and bars. There is around six computers where you can pay £1 for 60 minutes on the internet. Then there is various clothes shops and electronic shops e.g. Dixons.
Parking... You can leave your car at various car parks, then get a bus in to the airport but the Offical airport parking is with Q Park and the parking is quite good but can be dear on price. But you know that your car is safe.
Overall... Overall I havn't booked any flights from Belfast International Airport ever since because if I was delayed I couldn't do them same things. I always go from Belfast City Airport now. But I am thinking about going to spain soon and taking a flight from Belfast International Airport. I do like the airport but I just got sick of it by being in it for 24 hours. I would recommend anyone to goto Belfast International Airport rather than Belfast City Airport. Belfast International Airport is a much bigger, cleaner, nicer and easier way to fly from Northern Ireland.

Advantages: None as they cancelled the service that I paid for Disadvantages: They cancel flights without informing customers, leave you stranded with no way of getting home
