The Venue its a rock of ages

Advantages: The Music
Disadvantages: Everything else . GO WITH FRIENDS ALOT OF FRIENDS AND YOU MIGHT LAST THE NIGHT

AH the Venue, a flashback from yesteryear. How many nights have we ended up in this place expecting a nice time with friends and then remembered why he havent been there in so long. Okay lets review this night club. Music - on the whole it isnt that bad , yeah the Djs are a major fascists and you will generally hear the same songs again and again but considering some belfast clubs have been using the same play list for three years it isnt so bad. ...
...this is mainly due to the fact the place is licensed as a resturant so that you buy "DRINKS TICKETS" it means the owner dosent have to pay for a night club drinks license. Added to this i would make the point that only drink things out of bottles in that place. The plastic cups are reused and washed. Thats why they taste so bad. Prices- Once you get in through the door the prices arent that bad. You can drink cheap drink if you want to stick to ...

Disaster at Cayenne

Advantages: Waiting staff
Disadvantages: Incompetant kitchen

...visit I decided to give Cayenne a second go. My mistake. Booked a table for 9pm on Sat 12th April 2008. Although there were many tables available my partner and I had to wait almost twenty minutes to be shown to our table. Starter of pork pot stickers was doughy but had good flavours. After waiting for well over thirty minutes after our starter was cleared, our waiter noticed we still didn't have our main courses (2 medium rare steaks). He came to ...
...being plated. When it came out the food on both plates was cold (steaks, mashed potatoes, shallots and sauce). The side order of chips were hot. A waitress took our plates and side order away. The same steaks etc came out one minute later still cold but on hot plates. The steak piece I had cut into was hidden under another slice. We had to ask for our side of chips and the same bowlful eventually came out but had started to go cold. We noticed the ...

Well worth a visit- great food !!!

Advantages: you can go across the road for a drink while waiting- not sit watching others eat pizza
Disadvantages: smallish table- but this was not a big deal

We visited here as a group of 10 (it was meant to be 7) and we had great night, while we were waiting for a table (you can't book it) we went across the road to Chelsea bar and we were rang when our table was free, which was not long at all. The food was lovely especially the dragons tongue bread, and deserts too- yum. My own pizza was 5 minutes later than the rest and we were given it free of charge. They were more than apologetic, to be honest ...
...big order. The food was great and the crack was great. Our table was on the small side but it didn't take away from our night. It was so good I am going again with my friend this Saturday night. Well worth a visit. ...

Worst restaurant experience of my life!

Advantages: Maggie Mays HAD some good memories.
Disadvantages: We waited almost an hour to be told our order had been "forgotten."

Maggie Mays was until today a very special place - I must have been there a hundred times and even took my now partner there on our second date. But that changed today. We ordered our meal promptly on arrival and were given our drinks and cutlery. We then sat for between 45 minutes and an hour only to be told, after the staff stood about wispering at the counter for a while, that the waitress had never logged our food order! This is totally ridiculous ...

Dance the night away!

Advantages: regular drinks promos, late opening, good music
Disadvantages: toilets, attracts a number of posers

Thompson's is situated down a little alleyway beside a bank which is just across the road from Belfast City Hall. Thompson's has established itself as one of Belfast's most well known nightclubs. Its doors have been opened for over nine years. The club is opened seven nights a week, each night having a different style of music and therefore attracting a different crowd. The club itself is relatively small. As you walk down the alleyway to the club, ...
...come to them later). When you walk in there is a little desk where you pay in and then a set of stairs taking you upstairs. Upstairs has a large bar, the Dj booth and comfy couches along the side of the wall. There is a balcony where you can see downstairs. Beside the Dj booth are a set of stairs that take you down to the main dancefloor; the toilets are also located down stairs. The decor isn't too bad for a club, the floors are dark wood, the walls ...
