I suppose when people hear the name Belfast they automatically think of The Troubles. However those people have obviously never visited the city. Yes, it may have the worlds most bombed hotel - The Europa. But don't let that blinker you. Just across the road from The Europa there are two brilliant pubs. The Crown and Robinsons. If you visit they are an absolute must. Belfast has a great deal going for it - an excellent public transport service, wonderful buildings in the centre of town, a wealth of fantastic pubs and many interesting museums. The redevelopment of the Lagan area is a real testament to the direction in which the city is going. Belfast is easily accessible by boat and plane and once your there you won't want to leave.
