Belfast is recovering from the last few decades of strife and becoming a city which has much to attract visitors. Naturally the city centre and university area bars are as lively and entertaining as in any UK city and the city council will even give you a leaflet to suggest 'Historic Pub Crawls' -- the history is meant to be in the architecture but some of our crawls have been historic in their own right! The standard of cuisine is superior to most provincial cities with visits to Deane's, Cayenne ( previously Paul Rankin's Roscoff) and Shanks. Short trips from the city will bring the visitor to areas of great natural beauty and visits to the Bushmills Distillery are to be encouraged.
