This is a guide to let tourists know the many interesting features of Belfast in Northern Ireland, Hopefully within my review I provide some useful information for anyone interested in visiting belfast so that they can derive maximum enjoyment from their visit.
Belfast has many places to visit such as the City hall, where the belfast wheel can be found, the charge to get on the wheel is around £6.00 and you are on it for about 15 minutes, as the wheel slowly turns , the view of Belfast is stunning. Then in the east of the city we have Harland and Wolff where the famous Titanic was built.
There are murals painted on gable walls across North, East, South and West belfast, the black taxis offer a city tour to see both the sites and the murals around Belfast, the cost for this is around £8.00 per person and the tour would last about 90 minutes
Other places of interest are the Belfast castle and the Cavehill where the views are beautiful on a clear sunny day and there is an excellent park for the kiddies, however if it`s landmarks you like then there`s always The Albert clock, The Langanside area, The Crumlin road prison and the Courthouse, where many stories could be told.
If your into history , then the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum would be just perfect, it is just a short distance from the Belfast Airport, where you can find all kinds of old buildings and transportcars, motorbikes and how people of Belfast lived and cooked many years ago.
Belfast is good for shopping and has the usual high street stores like Primark, Dunnes, Debemhams and many more, and after all your shopping it wont be hard to find somewhere to have a bite to eat, within the city centre there are plenty of chippies and restaurants. Then for night life there are loads of pubs and clubs.
Just outside Belfast you have Newcastle, Bangor and Portrush which are all just a train journey away, great places to have a family day trip, my personal favourite would have to be Portrush, where you can find the Carick-a-Rede rope Bridge, the views hear are amazing, the place is quiet and out of the way. Then you have the famous Giants Causeway were the walk is lovely but might be to long for the younger children, but still enjoyable, then after your walk to where the famous stones lie you could always drop in and relax in The Bushmills Distillery, which is now 400 years old - 1608 till 2008 or if your into your motorbikes just up the road a short distance is the place to be, where the North West 200 is held - 12 May to the 17 May, there`s always a full packed week.
This is just a small insight into Belfast, there`s probably a lot I have not mentioned here but Belfast is a good place to visit and hopefully this review will be helpful to someone planning a visit to Belfast.
Thanks for reading
