I know people mighn't think Belfast is the most exciting city in the world, and thats probably because it isn't!!!! But the fact is, it has everything you need and loads of places to visit and go out to.
I suppose when anyone hears the word 'Ireland', one of the first things come into their head is beer/ alcohol!!!!! This is probably because, their is alot of great Irish pubs, including Belfast! There is a range of them, to suit all tastes, ranging from the traditional cultural ones to the more modern, nite clubs!!!!!
Not only does Belfast have great pubs, but alot of nice restaurants, excellant shopping facilities and millons of interesting places to visit- more so in the centre of town! The 'Waterfront' is also a great place to visit.
So what I am saying to you is that there is no reason why you should not visit Belfast- it is an up-beat city, with alot to do. Many people would hesitate because of the 'troubles', but times have changed and hopefully that is all history!!
