Advantages: The Boat ride was nice, and 1 female instructor was very attentive, clean Facilities,
Disadvantages: 1. If you Get Pablo, stay on the boat 2. Low visibality. 3. To crowded and rushed!
...and I decided to give HUGH PAKKEYS DIVE CONNECTION a try on our cruise that stopped in Belize. I, being a certified diver, thought that as advertised the Barrier Reef would be a Great first dive for my wife, who has been waiting to try scuba. We purchased our DISCOVER SCUBA DIVE through Carnival Cruise Line. At $125.00 per person thought it was a bit pricey for one 25/30-min. dive, but since all gear was supplied it was all right.

...WE DID NOT DIVE ON THE REEF. Our Confined water training was on a sand bar in the open water flats and the open water dive is on the deep side of it 100 yards away. I think you would do better to just snorkel off shore for the amount of marine life you'll see. The gear we used was WELL USED. Make sure you check all your gear to the best of your ability before you get in the water. We both had issues with our equipment.
