Bella Pasta has got to be one of the most consistently good restaurant chain I've visited in recent years.
Despite being part of a large chain, the food tends to be less 'plastic' tasting than most similar outlets, and seems to be freshly prepared.
The lasagna (vegetarian or meat) is excellent and well worth a try as are the pizzas (although these are very thin, so steer clear of these if you like a thick crust base).
Prices are moderate - a little more expensive than your Pizza Hut, but cheaper than your upmarket italian restaurant.
I've visited Bella Pasta in Leeds, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Manchester and London, and had consistently good service and food at all.

Advantages: excellent service, gorgeous food, variety of vegetarian options, yummy desserts! Disadvantages: rather pricey for regular meals, we can only afford this occasionally!
