Having travelled to Vegas many times this has to be the finest Hotel & Casino on The Strip. This hotel is beautifully situated in the centre of The Strip with easy access to all the well known attractions. From the fabulous fountains out front to the wonderful restaurants, casino and swimming pools this is a class act. A tip for travellers, on my last trip our non-smoking room was not ready when we arrived and we were offered a smoking room as an alternative. We flatly refused and acted the tired, irate traveller and were promptly upgraded to a corner suite with views of the Fountains! Our suite in the Spa Tower had a seriously comfortable king size bed, with the bathroom having a spa bath, large power shower and his & hers sinks. Also, when watching the dancing fountain display through the window the relevant music can be played through your TV (check channel guide) !! There are several good restaurants overlooking the lake and I would particularly recommend the Japanese themed Shintaro restaurant. Also, I would recommend all to try morning room service at least once during your stay. It is an experience to be offered a myriad of different teas, toasts and newspapers all delivered on a silver tray to your room. Serious luxury!! For daytime sightseeing I would recommend buying a day pass for the monorail which goes up & down the back of The Strip, otherwise you are into some serious walking in the heat. Although all the Hotels look to be close they are all so large that it can take 10 minutes to walk past the frontage of,say, Caesar's Palace. For evening entertainment, Elton John at Caesar's Palace is superb and The Cirque du Soleil are amazing even if the thought of circus acts is not too appealing. I would also encourage visitors to take an evening trip to downtown Fremont St for the light show but be aware that even after the recent makeover this is a seedier part of town and take care to stay in well populated areas. To summarise, in my opinion The Bellagio is the best place to stay to experience this must see city. .

I was in Vegas a few weeks back. We stayed at New York New York, which was very impressive. The fountain shows @ Bellagio were a wonder to watch. My kids could have stayed there all day.
