Belleclaire Hotel, New York City

For my twentieth birthday I decided the Ideal thing to do to celebrate would be to go back to New York City in February 2006! I chose the Belleclaire for the second time, after being so pleased after my first visit two years ago. The reviews I had read before the first trip on various websites were all pretty good apart from the odd one that complained about things such as the renovation that was being undertaken at that point in time and the odd dingy bathroom. I stayed at the Hotel Belleclaire with a friend when we made our first visit to New York City in September 2005. We stayed in a twin room with a shared bathroom for four nights. We chose the Hotel Belleclaire primarily because of its price; we are both students, and it was expensive enough to get to New York without trying to delude ourselves into thinking we could afford anything more than two star accommodation! When planning our trip to NYC for July 08, my girlfriend, her sister and I needed somewhere reasonably cheap, somewhere not too out of the main city and not some place where we wouldn't want to go back in the evenings. This was the place that really offered that. The room was fantastic for what we paid. We had a 2 bedroom suite with ensuite bathroom. The suite is layed out so that there is a wall separating both rooms rather than a door, with the bathroom being in the 2nd room.
