I have redone this review to make it a bit better. I am new to all this so I hope it is helpful --- HERE GOES !!!
*************LOCATION********** The location is brilliant and near to the train station. I have stayed in many hotels in my time as I work in the travel industry and would be very critical, but I have to admit that this hotel is very reasonably priced for its location. It is right next door to the hotel is the oldest pub in Amsterdam called the Café Karpershoek, this unique pub is part of the Bellevue Hotel.
************ROOMS********** Our room was of a very good standard and even came complete with flat screen tv and beautifully clean and crisp linen. The bathroom had an intergrated bath and shower. Our room also had cable TV, radio, telephone, data port, light blocking curtains and hair dryer (which was just ok, not as strong as you would get at home). There was a safety deposit box, double glaze windows, isolated, noise blocking walls, wardrobe, an easy chair and a desk with chair. We also had a suitcase stand nand the door was fire-retardant. The room was also fitted with a smoke alarm.
***********COST************* The cost that I paid for this hotel was £50 per night for a double room. Breakfast was extra and cost 10 Euros per person per day.
***********EXTRAS************* This hotel has been newly renovated and it was worth every penny. I have to mention the staff which i found to be extremely courteous. They would go out of thier way for all customers and no problem was too much for them (a rareity nowdays at many hotels I have stayed at !!!). comfort and service. A few other points I liked were the fact that safety cameras protect the entrance. Suitcases and bags could be stored in the luggage room, which was great for us when we arrived early at the hotel.
***********OVERALL********** I would personally return to this hotel. I thought it was good value for money. The location was great and as I have already said the staff superb.
