The Hotel
The Bellevue hotel is a three star hotel and has 36 rooms, which are all nicely decorated in either burgundy or blue tones. It is a four storey building with lots of parisian style.
The hotel is a small independantly run hotel which is in a fantastic location 19 Rue d' orsel, 7518 Paris which is at the foot of the Sacre Coeur church in Montmartre.
I had pre-booked a taxi online when I booked this break. Taxi was from the Charles de Gaulle airport and when we arrived the Bellevue Hotel was lit up outside and looked very warm and welcoming.
The hotel has a small reception desk which is open twenty four hours and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. At the side of the reception desk there is a large rack with lots of tourist information leaflets on where to go and places of interest ...
Advantages: Plenty to do for familys Disadvantages: not as much to do during the day as the night
I have to be honest when me and and my boyfriend booked to stay at the bellevue apartments on the 26th of august 02 (selfcatering), located in pueto de alcudia, it sonded to good to be true.
We wanted a place that provided lots of things for children because we were taking my then five year old son and my ten year old niece. Between what the brochures said, the travel agents and friends who had been there, this place sounded amazing.
When we arrived at the bellevue the first thing we noticed was the loverly gardens, our apartment (lida 1) had 3 floors.
We requested before we went an apartment on a high floor so we would have a better view, so they put us on the third floor as requested.
The apartment had one bedroom with a double bed, there was a single bed and double sofa bed in the living area
A kitchen with
a fridge ...
Advantages: A lot of good tracks with different moods Disadvantages: A few tracks where the vocals aren't quite clear enough
was pretty AND talented, a rather awesome package in just 1 person.
If you didn't like redheads there was Emma Anderson - she of the dark haired persuasion, also singing & playing guitar and owning a pair of legs that go right up to her neck as well writing some of the songs into the bargain. And if you don't like girls there was always the rather gothic Phil King on bass or the sadly now deceased Chris Acland providing rather awesome drums that melded together the very different sound palette that was Lush.
So the band had something for everyone, be you boy, girl or small fluffy creature from Alpha Centuri (I think Miki had them covered). Split was their 2nd album release arriving in June of 1994, all songs were either written by Miki or Emma apart from Starlust which was a joint effort.
So whats on Split then?
