We visited this hotel for one week last May 2005, we choose this Hotel and resort because of price(£650 for 2 adults and one child) and within 2 hours of the U.K. *********************
It is only about half an hour away from the airport and the airport is very small so getting through it is usually pretty quick and easy, unless the baggage handlers are on a go-slow! **********************
On arrival at the hotel check-in was very quick and went to our room in the lift. **********************
The room was ample big enough for the three of us with 2 queen size beds and put you up bed for our son. In the room was satillite tv, air-conditioning and safe (payable). They had large double wardrobe and set of drawers
The bathroom was ok with all the usual complimentary smellies. It had a shower over the bath, tiolet, Vanity unit and hairdryer. Towels were changed daily and sheets twice while we were there. ***********************
Our room had a balcony that had a table and 2 chairs, it also had a very handy line to dry towels instead of hanging them over the balcony and a light if you like to seat outside in the evening, our room overlooked the swimming pool. ***********************
The swimming pool was quite Big with sunbeds but could have done with more umbrellas. Also outside was the childrens club,mini-golf, playground, pool-table and small childrens splash pool separated from large pool,. The pool was also adapted for the disabled, so a bonus point there! Another added bonus is there is also a very large Jacuzzi and Sauna these can be found downstairs. *************************
The Buffet Restaurant. Well, myself and my husband were both impressed with the food, considering this is only 3* hotel the food here was better than some of the 4* hotels we've stayed in. I don't think we ate the same thing twice during our stay, and our Son was kept happy at the separate childrens buffet. The food was always hot and plentiful! The staff were always helpful. ***************************
In the hotel is a lobby with plenty of seating and internet access.Just off the lobby is a bar and pool table.
There is also a lovely piano lounge but this was used in the evenings by the local spanish card school but still a nice place to sit and chill out!
The entertainment in the evening was first a mini-disco for the kids club and then it seemed to be dancing and again the locals came to this too,. ****************************
The beach, shops and bars in the centre are about a 10 minute stroll away, with Portaventura about 20 minutes away. But if you like a bit more peace and quiet take a stroll down to Cambrils , the beach there tends to be a bit quieter there. *****************************
Overall we had a lovely holiday here but don't go expecting 4* but it is a good 3* we thought.
**************************** We thought the pub by the hotel 'The Titanic' is worth a mention we spent many a happy evening here as the entertainment was good for kids and adults alike. Food was good and drinks very reasonable.
