Hotel Belvedere Salou A good 3*
Review of Belvedere Hotel, Salou by  deborah2709

Advantages: Plenty to keep kids happy
Disadvantages: some of the hotels behind were a bit of an eye-sore

...Belvedere Hotel- Salou (Costa Dorada). We visited this hotel for one week last May 2005, we choose this Hotel and resort because of price(£650 for 2 adults and one child) and within 2 hours of the U.K. ********************* It is only about half an hour away from the airport and the airport is very small so getting through it is usually pretty quick and easy, unless the baggage handlers are on a go-slow! ********************** On arrival at the hotel check-in was very quick and went to our room in the lift. ********************** The room was ample big enough for the three of us with 2 queen size beds and put you up bed for our son. In the room was satillite tv, air-conditioning and safe... Read review

From Prague with love
Review of Prague in general by  mrpaella

Advantages: A magnificent city
Disadvantages: The taxi drivers have a bad reputation

...WRITTEN September 2002 INTRODUCTION Apologies for the title of this op, which is based on an old James Bond film. My wife and I visited Prague in July/August 2002. This op adds nothing to the 20 or so Ciao ops on Prague I have previously read. My description is simply a diary of our holiday a la Judith Chalmers. PRAGUE THE FIRST TIME I first visited Prague with my parents in 1979. We went on a coach trip of the Iron Curtain countries with about 50 other people. The countries we stayed in were Holland, West Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Austria and Belgium. We set off to Prague from West Berlin quite early and had a lovely lunch in Dresden. American bombs during WW2 destroyed the city. We then reached the East Germany/Czechoslovakia border. The border guard took all our passports and left us stewing on the coach... Read review

Prague in 3 days flat
Review of Prague (Czech Republic) by  Acornseed

Advantages: Historic, beautiful, more for your money
Disadvantages: Heavy with tourists

...Please note: This is a long review, so I’ve labelled the sections to allow you to select what you need. Prague is a magnificent fairy tale city which radiates warm earth tones from its breathtaking painted architecture. Its long history is evident on any street corner and you’ll be spoilt for choice in choosing the main attractions. However, if time is short and you have the determination, strong walking shoes and a good city map you will be rewarded with a fascinating insight into Czech culture. A BRIEF OVERVIEW Prague is an ancient city which can trace its roots back to 400BC to the Celtic tribe of Bohemia, but it wasn’t until 1245 that any real populace took hold when the Jewish ghetto was constructed. In 1346 Charles IV became King of Bohemia and a period of peace reigned with the building of the University and St Vitrus... Read review
