Disadvantages: Poor service, poor food and old fashioned rooms.

I know when writing a review one should try to be balanced and give mention of both the good and the bad and therefore this review may seem like a bit of a rant but there really was nothing or at least very, very little good to say about this hotel. The hotel in question is the Magic Monika Holidays Aparthotel in Benidorm, Benidorm is one of my favourite holiday destinations and this hotel was so bad it went a long way to ruining my two weeks holiday. ...
...thing about it, set in the quiet area of Cala de Finestrat and only 500metres from the white sandy beaches it gets off to a good start but it quickly goes downhill. One of the most annoying things by far about this hotel is the fact that it is a playground to elderly Spanish couples who have no idea how to be courteous to others or how to wait their turn to be served, they feel because they are in their own country they have the right to push in ... ...second time staying in the Evamar Apartments. What can you say about Benidorm - if you visit with no great expectations and looking to have a great time, you will find yourself having a blast! There is a bar on the ground floor, offering the usual night-time hotel entertainment, but as you're literally a stone's throw from all the action, i'd probably give this a miss! The rooms are basic, but of an adequate size, with lounge/kitchenette, twin bedroom and bathroom - but the best point about these apartments is the balcony! Disadvantages: extremely poor standards and uphill location

the MARC apartments are a disgrace and are not as advertised. the apartments are not secure it was apparant from the cracks, foot prints and busted lock the door had been kicked in several times.Upon entering the illequipped appartment you are greeted with a stale damp smell which is particularly poignant in the toilate area. The balcony/sun terrace was secured with a metal chain and padlock. The sliding doors will not open unless you are willing ...
...on the balcony you can enjoy views over the opposite buildings car park.we were booked to stay for two weeks but didnt last a hour we were shown annother room in the block which was larger in size but in just as bad condition. needless to say we moved to alternative accomodation. booked throgh follies vacancies who do not provide a maid and are reluctant to give back deposite! ... Advantages: Cheap, not bad location, food is nice
Disadvantages: kids everywhere - not good for just couples wanting to relax!

I stayed at the Flamingo Benidorm in October 2007 for 7 nights between the 11th to 18th with my mother. We were on an all inclusive package booked on Jet2holidays.com which cost us £398 in total for the two of us including flights and accomodation but no transfers. The hotel and facilities: The hotel was neither too old or new - just basic and did it's job - however it did look quite nice upon entering with an array of seating and marble floors. ...
