Advantages Advantages Lively Place, Cheap, Plenty To Do

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Very High Rise

Benidorm has often been referred to, as Spain's equivalent to the British Holiday Resort of Blackpool and speaking as someone who has had the pleasure of visiting both of these locations I can certainly see where the parallels have been drawn. I recently visited Benidorm between 17th-24th October 2006 and despite my very first impressions of the place I had a fantastic time. I make no apologies for the length of this review, which I hope, will prove to be useful to anyone visiting or thinking about visiting this popular resort on the Costa Blanca. GETTING THERE Benidorm lies on the Eastern ... more

…Then you will have by the time you’ve finished reading this opinion” I love writing about my travels, so I hope you will enjoy reading this opinion, as much as I will enjoy writing it. If you need any more information about Benidorm once you’ve read this, then feel free to leave a message in my guest book. I have been to Benidorm (situated in the province of Alicante in Costa Blanca) twice now with my boyfriend Paul. The first time I went was on 11th September 2001, so as you have perhaps guessed – many of the planes were delayed. This was my first time out of the UK too, so the longer we had ... more

Advantages Advantages A good all round holiday destination. Lovely places nearby and excellent climate.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Has a bad reputation with some people. I'm NOT there now and it isn't fair!

I went to Benidorm again last spring for my holidays. It was our second visit; we enjoyed it so much last time that we were really looking forward to going there again. Our first trip was for our honey moon in September 1999 ~ this time was in May, so we’ve seen the place during two different seasons and built up quite a good picture of the place. Both times saw us in the same hotel (The Rio Park ~ a good, if a little large hotel suitable for families and couples alike) primarily because we got a very good deal on price and liked the central location. WHERE IS BENIDORM? It’s located in Europe ... more

Having recently had 5 days to spare with nothing to do I went to my local travel agent to see if they had anything to suit my days and more inportantly my budget, which thankfully they had. The sales consultant suggested Costa Blanca and Benidorm and I must admit that I hadn't the faintest idea where Benidorm was except that it was in Spain somewhere and I was not sure of anything that there was to do there, but I did have five days off so decided what the hell and booked the trip then and there. Well after leaving the travel agents I wnet home and proceeded to find Benidorm on the map and see ... more

Booking holidays is a stressful affair. It gets even more taxing when there’s a group of you who all want different things from the holiday destination. At around November last year, My Friends and I (look mum – real good grammar!) decided that rather than get drunk at home or in our local pub, we would pay someone to fly us somewhere sunny and get drunk there instead, for a change. By Mid – December, it had been decided that we would be going to Mainland Spain, and by January, I’d made them narrow it down to Benidorm on the Costa Blanca. The crux of the decision was based on the fact that ... more
