International. This development offers 50 luxury apartments furnished to the highest specification, with a major refurbishment completed in July 2006. All apartments have their own fully fitted kitchen, with seating/lounge areas offering around 30% more space than a standard hotel room. Berkeley Park is situated in an ideal location, just off the A4 Bath Road, 30 minutes from London by car, 15 minutes from Paddington on the Heathrow Express, and within close proximity of the rapidly expanding business district of the ?M4 corridor?, home to some of the largest Blue Chip companies. These unique apartments are ideally located for those working in the nearby areas of Stockley Park, Slough, Staines and Uxbridge. Berkeley Park offers much more space to business or leisure travellers staying in the Heathrow area.
Advantages: Excellent location, high level of expecation in terms of standard and service Disadvantages: Can be expensive, even for a cocktail !
...A hotel with one of the most prime locations in London, the 5-star London Hilton on Park Lane, boasts one of the more salubrious addresses and settings of the Hilton group's London portfolio, slightly set back from the busy traffic of Park Lane, overlooking Hyde Park.
The hotel is modern, but with a certain degree of grandeur, with a spacious lobby, behind which lies the sweeping staircases up the Grand Ballroom and Wellington Ballroom. The latter boats fantastic views across Park Lane over to Hyde Park, particularly impressive in the eraly evening and an ideal setting for cocktail recpetions before dinner in the Grand Ballroom - for functions in the 700 - 1,000 region. I have been to a number of dinner funtions at the hotel, and the food at the two most recent dinners was actually of a very high quality ... I state...

...- is ready. A very nice waiter pulls a trolley with a white cloth covered with all sorts, from pastries to scrambled egg, fruit to fresh juice, coffee, tea, english breakfast, kippers, toast… jams in little cute Bon Maman jars. Of course I could not eat all so I lower my head down in shame… I confess I made mysellf a goodie bag to bring any leftovers home...
Another five out of five!

**********
The Berkeley hotel is situated in Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, London, SW1X 7RL, the closest underground station is Hyde Park Corner but Knightsbridge (both on the Piccadilly line) would still get you close enough.
They do have a rather famous bar called The bue Bar (apparently Madonna seems to like it) and three restaurants: Petrus, Boxwood Café and The Caramel Room.

Advantages: Great location and huge sized apartments Disadvantages: Few restaurants in area
...I was lucky enough to be put up in these apartments for 3 weeks by my employer in August 2005 before I came back up to Manchester.
I had no idea what to expect at all - the apartments are on the main Heathrow stretch (just off the main road with the round Holiday Day in on the corner) so as you can imagine it is a very busy, lively area. Though I was thoroughly surprised by what a hidden little gem this place was.
Obviously being surrounded by hotels it is easy to think the apartments would be very expensive and very small but they were quite the opposite.
While I stayed for 3 weeks the price was just over £1500 which included secure parking as well - secure because the apartments were just off the main road with secure gates that open when you drive up to them and lock at 11pm (can be opened later by pressing buzzer and speaking...
