wow what an hotel! Advantages: location, wow factor, spa facilities Disadvantages: hard to be casual in here! ...quite easy to get into the centre from here on the shuttle link train, which stops at friedriechstrasse. the hotel is situated on the corner of this street and unter der linden. this is the historic part of berlin with many beautiful buildings, museums, cathedral, opera house all being within walking distance. in the evening it is quiet and you feel very safe in berlin. it is a very quiet city!! lovely restaurants in the squares for an evening meal. ... ...flying above the rooftops! the reception and downstairs lounge area is very grand, with a piano bar, waitress service and gorgeous hot chocolate with cointreau in it, yum!! all berlin's richest seem to be showing off in here in the evenings, you do feel a bit conspicuous in jeans. there is a grand staircase which takes you up to the restaurant level, then on up to the rooms. we stayed in a deluxe executive room, we got an excellent deal through ... brooks1712 17.03.2006 · Read full review Ciao members have rated this review on average: helpful Review of The Westin Grand Berlin, Berlin
Brilliant Berlin Buffet Breakfast! Advantages: Excellent location Disadvantages: Stinky (but complimentary) toiletries ...this review is for the Dorint Sofitel Schweizerhof, not the Dorint Sofitel am Gendarmenmarkt. Both are part of the Accor hotel chain. ~~~ Location and Getting There ~~~ The Schweizerhof can be found on Budapester Straße. It is extremely well located, being between the Tiergarten (south-west corner of the park), the zoo and aquarium, the Europa Centre and the shops on Kurfurstendamm. The nearest station is Zoologischer Garten (800m distance), or ... ...or Tempelhof Airport (10km). There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for route 200, with other routes nearby. 5 reasons to stay in Berlin Advantages: Good city fo sightseeing, easy to get around, great for kids and shopping,. getting spoiled at Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Berlin Advantages: great position of the hotel, great service Disadvantages: none that I can think of ...Did I mention that Park Inn Berlin is a 37 floors building? :) Is one of the highest buildings in that area and you have a restaurant at the last floor where you can go anytime and take pictures of Berlin. The hotel rooms are very clean and the furniture and the design are modern and fresh. You will find that the hotel personnel is very nice and helpful witch is extremely important when you're in Germany and speak no German, so you need to rely on ... ...will always remember those rich breakfast when I could fill my plate with anything I could think of... things I don't normally eat at breakfast, like cookies, fruit salad, fruit yogurt etc... Radisson SAS Hotel Berlin. An oasis of calm in a bustling city. Advantages: Stylish hotel in a superb location. Unique feature of huge aquarium in hotel atrium. Disadvantages: One bed rather than two pushed together would have been nice! ...lift in the aqaurium is not included for hotel guests.) Would I recommend this hotel? Well for couples or friends visiting Berlin for a sight-seeing weekend............go on.......give yourselves a treat.
