Connection to the City ---------------------- The FASTEST WAY to reach Schönefeld is with the Airport Express, a train which leaves from Bahnhof Zoo (the West inner City) and Friedrichstraße (the East inner City) and some small Stops. It takes you in about 20 min for about 2 € to the Airport. By BUS you can Reach Schönefeld with the No 171 which takes you from for example the Underground No 7 right up to the Terminal Of course TAXI is available as well and will cost you depending on the time you travel and the traffic about 15 - 20 € from City to Airport.
What else? ---------- If you are looking for a last minute Holiday you will have with Schönefeld a good place to look. With about 20 - 30 Last Minute Travel Agencies aou can find anytime a wide range of Offers.
The Look out Platform is on the Top Floor of the Terminal Building and it cost you 0,50 € to get there, or you have a cup of coffee to get the same view at the Restaurant!

If you have just missed a shuttle bus to the train station - don't wait as it is only a 5 minute ... ...airport was on the way back when our flight was delayed. Once you pass passport control, there aren't many announcements and even less staff. We found out that our flight was delayed when the people picking us from the airport looked at the teletext at home and phoned us!
Also, if you are a smoker, note that the whole airport is no smoking - you have to go outside. There is no designated area so once you are in the departure lounge that is it!

...right into the centre of Berlin within about 40 mins. It is clean, efficient and easy to negotiate. But on your return to the airport beware! The S-Bahn splits into two routes. The other branch takes you deeper into East Berlin and adds about an hour on to your journey. Oops!
Everyone whom I approached to ask for help in the airport was as friendly as my German and ther English allowed them to be and although I wouldn't recommend turning up any ...
