For anyone that lives in the north west of England Berwick is quite a big change, it quiet and peaceful, very friendly people and the fresh air is amazing.
I have been once and i am hopefully moving there very soon.
The first day i was there i fell in love with it there and then, it's not the liveliest place but it makes change from where i live with all the fights police sirens and drunken idiots.
I would definately reccomend going to berwick upon tweed for a nice relaxed weekend or short holiday, because i think there is plenty nice places to go, with the advantage of the beach and the river, there is a small town centre but you will always get what you were looking for.
