Best Western, The Links Hotel, Montrose

Advantages: beautiful hotel, given a room with a terrace
Disadvantages: Out of season there isnt a huge amount to do

honesty say that I would happily have my wedding here, it would be a lovely location - especially to go and get your photos done down at the beach. The hotel can accommodate private functions in one of its rooms these include the drawing room which is found in the Edwardian part of the hotel and can accommodate up to 24 people for a meal, party or conference. The fairways suite can accommodate up to 110 people for same and the event centre offers an even larger space for weddings, conferences or parties. ~~~~Location~~~~ The hotel is located on Mid Links in the town of Montrose. We stayed in April and felt that the hotel would be ideal as a base for the surrounding areas but that the area didn't really hold enough attractions for us. We stayed for two nights and really didn't need anything much to keep us occupied. We were happy enough ...

Hotel Best Western Obelisk - Istanbul

Advantages: 3* Hotel in a 5* location
Disadvantages: Noisy rooms.

This Best Western hotel is one of about six Best Western Hotels all in this old part of Istanbul known as Sultanahmet. It really is in a very convenient location and the LOCATION is its greatest asset. It is a three star hotel in an area containing five star holiday attractions. The hotel advertises its roof terrace as the sort of restaurant under the stars of everyone's dreams. I thought it was jaded and thus overrated with a distant view of the sea which was hardly on the waterfront. The rooms are OK. I had a de-luxe room which had been reduced on-line from an advertised price of Euros 134 to Euros 75.The TV had CNN and BBC World and the bed was very comfortable. I found the decor a bit drab. A buffet breakfast on the roof was fine but the service was non-existent. Didn't really matter though - the stuff was all there, I ...

Review of Best Western Hotel Obelisk & Sumengen, Istanbul

Best Western Hotel, Dublin.

Advantages: Close to tram stop and airport bus stop.
Disadvantages: Can get quite busy with people checking in & out.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last few years. Its quite a way outside the main Temple-Bar area but is right by the tram stops. As the trams run very regularily getting about is easy. The hotel is very close to Houston rail station. If you fly into Dublin airport one of the many buses outside the airport will take you to the station and the hotel is about a 3 minute walk away. The rooms are sparce and basic but suitable. The breakfast is very good and you certainly wont want for a large lunch. This is a big fry-up with all the trimmings. The cost of the hotel is middle of the road but reasonable for what you get. Yes its reasonably basic inside but you get what you pay for. It does get quite busy and checking in and out can take up a little time. There is the facility to leave luggage there if you arrive ...
