...Well, I was two times in Paris and i have heard that « les Parisiens » do not want to live in Paris, because of the stress and the more or less pollution. But I do not support this decision. Well, before I write something about Paris I tell you how you can travel to Paris in the best way. The best way to reach Paris is to go with an aeroplane or with the bus on account of the price (if you do not choose the first class to travel). Nevertheless, the comfort is not the best. With the car is too complicated, because it is too long and your car can be destroyed in Paris or it can be stolen. When you arrive the capital of France I propose you the street “rue des petites hotels”, on account of the many economic hotels with one or two stars. ...Paris is an amazingly beautiful city. I recently returned for the third time (on this occassion with my parents in toe). Previous trips have been chilled out events with friends, bar hopping and generally wandering aimlessly through the streets- in itself a worthwhile way to while away the hours. This time however we did more of your traditional 'tourist' activities, visiting the Eiffel Tower - though not venturing up thankfully Im sure the views are spectacular however I didnt envy those who found themselves at the top of the structure when the thunderstorm ensued!; the Champs Elyeese; the moulin rouge; Arc de Triomphe; Notre Dam and by far the highlight of the trip a tour of the Opera Garnier. The opera house is absolutely stunning and the enthusiasm and knowledge of the tour guide brought the building to life during our visit... Read review

Advantages: Great city

...a great place to propose to your loved one. Another must is Sacre Couer (sacred heart) at Montmartre; A deceiving church as it was only built at the beginning of the 20th century and is actually made of concrete. Another splendid view across Paris and midnight mass is magical. This is the only church I know that has a glass confessional box, so all the world can watch as you repent! Other highlights are the Champs Elysees for seriously chic shopping, La Defense for the buisness minded, Napoleon's tomb for a bit of pomp and Bastille for the new opera house, groovy shops and the millenium clock. For art and culture, top of the list are the Louvre and the Pompidou Centre, but if you want to discover up and coming artists then I suggest the back streets of Bastille, there are some great venues there.
