Advantages: I'm excited what the new track will look like Disadvantages: I do not like the old one
..., that the Hockenheim track will not be the same. They will build half a new track. The Motodrome will be the same, but the rest will get much more technicaly. And they will not only rebuild one or two new curves, no all the highspeed areas are cancelled.
The constructer is the same man who build the track in Sepang. And I think that is a very nice track.
So lets wait and see how the Hockenheimring will look next year....

Advantages: Good, fast corners, fast circuit, good overtaking opportunities, Tifosi Disadvantages: Not a perfect layout
...The hype before a race at Monza is a little exaggerated. The Tifosi are mostly responsible for this although they do make the atmosphere at race-time electric and as I am a Michael Schumacher fan, they make it for all the right reasons in my opinion.
However, Monza is not much of a race-track compared to the magnificent SPA circuit in Belgium which will host the 2000 season's venue in Belgium, this weekend. I am quite excited.
Monza is a fast track which provides a lot of action. Hakkinen in tears, Coulthard taking Irvine round the outside on the last third gear sweeper leading on to the pitstraight (the name of the corner evades me at this time). It is undoubtedly a much better venue than Silverstone but it is not, in my view, THE best circuit although it isn't far off. Suzuka, Spa, Imola, Monaco - its there somewhere. When...

Hockenheim a couple of weeks ago had the best Grand Prix seen for many years - with the circuit being many miles out into the forest meant that the weather was mixed with dry parts and wet parts causing all sorts of tyre selection problems for the teams.
The grandstand area has a unique part of todays formula 1 - a place to overtake! - something lacking on a lot of todays thin winding circuits.
On hot days Hockenheim is a real engine blower with huge long flat out straights. Definately how grand prix circuits should be....
