We stayed to the Ashling Hotel 2years ago and it is not such a great hotel for Dublin. It was a cheap price for a room there, but unfortunately there were a few issues we had, the first was having arrived on the Friday afternoon discovering the water wasn't on!! (not really their fault I suppose) the manager informed us that it would be back on in an hour or so, so we unpacked and walked for what seemed like 1.5 miles to Temple Bar (travel agent ... ...to eat, found the excellent 'Fitzers Cafe' (which was strangely a restaurant!!) and enjoyed a meal there. taxi'ed it back to the hotel, still no water and were assured a plumber was looking at the problem, true to his word the water came back on 1/2 hour later, after showering and getting ready for the nightlife in Temple Bar, went down to the hotel bar and could not for love get served as the place was packed with people that weren't even residents!. ...

This excellent hotel offers a traditional Irish welcome and is an ideal place to stay when in Dublin on business or leisure. Best Western Ashling Hotel is renowned for its comfort and friendliness. Numerous city centre attractions and vibrant Temple Bar are just minutes away, whilst notable places of interest nearby include Guinness Brewery, National Museum of Ireland and Dublin Zoo. Located 100 metres from the hotel are the gates of the Phoenix Park - the biggest and most attractive enclosed city park in Europe. And in the surrounding area, street lamps, cobblestones, small family owned shops, quaint pubs and horse fairs - all tell of a bygone age.
