I got married here and had a fantastic day the hotel really made it, not just with the views but the level of service was extremely good and everyone said that the food was the best they had had at a wedding before. The Wordsworth suite which we used as our honeymoon suite for a few nights is out of this world although isn,t cheap, you have your own private door to the pool, garden overlooking the lake with hot tub, massive bed, remote control curtains well worth it if you fancy treating yourselves. All in all The Beach Hill Hotel is well worth a look, its only a taxi ride away from Bowness but is nice if you want to stay in-house and dine and chill a bit, and I would highly recomend it as a wedding venue.
Both myself and my fiance love the lake district and have stayed at many hotels with many different star ratings. Last year we got engaged whilst staying at this hotel which was fantastic but was also marred by small but continous problems.
On our first night at the hotel, we were tired and decided to order room service rather than go to the restaurant. We ordered soup and sandwiches. This took an age to come the room, and when it did the soup was ... ...receptionn to ask for replacements they said 'oh so you want some new ones then'! We expected some sort of reparation for this like free drinks or for this to be deducted from the bill, we received nothing, not even a sorry.
The following morning we went into the restaurant to have breakfast, this was also cold. We found the staff to be very ignorant, and more concerned with each other than the needs and wants of their paying guests.
