::::Intro::::
The Bellevue Hotel is where Mozart stayed. Lille is fabulous.The sights around, the hotel itself, and the views from the hotel. This is a fabulous place to spend the weekend like we did, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Read my review below:

::::Why I Chose This Hotel::::
I did not choose to stay at this hotel. A family member won a competition for a weekend to Lillie - including accommodation at this wonderful hotel. We had no idea where this hotel was, so on we went onto google to check out what this hotel was like and how to get there and the images of the hotel were amazing. It looked like a palace at the reception. After many minutes of amazement of winning a trip to Lille and staying at such a lovely looking hotel, we finally started looking for directions - if we didn't get these we wouldn't be going at all. We arranged to stay at Lille in May, as weather would be nice. We normally like going to France - also other countries like Turkey etc.. but we had never stayed at a hotel in France before - unless we were going to Disneyland Paris.

::::Appearance::::
The appearance from the hotel from the outside was amazing. The picture used on Ciao is wrong photo so please ignore that. The front of the building looked very old fashioned. To there front door of the hotel were steps which was an additional feature which made it look very fancy. Going into the hotel, the reception desk area was jaw-dropping. There were famous paintings on the walls, marble flooring, very expensive vases and statues. I was amazed at how lovely the building and hotel was inside. Normally you cannot get both. Steps away from reception desk near the stairs and old fashioned lift were large leather sofas which would all fit together to make a big "C" shape. I have included pictures of these below. Above one of the big sofas was a painting around 60". It was stunning and amazing to even see a painting this big. The hotel had been so looked after.

::::Our Room::::
Using the old fashioned lift, where the door is glass, we went to our room. Used the keys, as we had two rooms, and our rooms were absolutely stunning. Fruit was left for us on arrival and everything in the room was perfect. The bed was king size. Old fashioned lamps that were in perfect condition. And again, massive paintings in the rooms and a bigger one over the beds. The only modern part our rooms was the bathroom which was so clean and elegant. Samples of different products were in here along with shower, bath, toilet. The mirror in the toilet was massive, just like the pictures all around the hotel. This was one of the most cared for hotels that I have ever been in, and I have travelled quite alot. Our view was amazing. We could look over the Lille Square, more about that below. The room had a television that had so many channels, but only one or two were in English. I was not too bothered about the TV anyway. There were old fahioned wardrobes and chest of draws. They were not old things that looked like people had thrown out. All of the objects in the hotel were perfect condition.

::::Staff::::
The staff were so friendly. The receptionists were happy to help with our travel arrangements and helping us with translation as we knew little French. They told us where to go, where to find certain places, and how to find our way back of course. Each morning, we had a breakfast buffet, and the staff there were so friendly too. They were always so happy to help. Their uniform was so neat and tidy too. Great staff great service, and a great hotel. This hotel did more than that. It was like a palace.

::::Food::::
Going back to the food, the restaurant area was used in the mornings for breakfast. At breakfast was a long table full of tasty French treats, cereals, around 6 different types of bread, 5 different jams in miniature pots, the list goes on. There was a wide variety of hot foods too like sausages, egg etc. Everything you would have at an English fry-up, but so much better. The food that we ate tasted superb. Felt, and looked so much more effort that most restaurants and hotels. The tables we clean, and so was the restaurant. The tables had luxurious cream table clothes with faint pictures on if you looked carefully. There were around 25 tables, with alot of space to move around. The hotel had a great experience, especially at breakfast because the food was just amazing.

::::Cleanliness::::
The hotel is kept so clean. You could eat your dinner off of the marble floor. The floors gleamed, just like our faces while in there. The rooms were so looked after, you could just notice it as soon as you entered, and if you had an idea of other hotels. Every inch of the hotel floor to ceiling did not have a mark of dirt. It was spectacular. The bathrooms were checked every day, and bins were emptied by staff, and made sure our rooms were nice for when we came back.

::::What's Near::::
The hotel is near the middle of Lille. To the left of the hotel, and round the corner is the main roads with shops on either side just like a high street. These shops would have banks, toy shops, etc. To the right and round the corner of the hotel was the square as people called it. It was a square of ground with a small pyramid fountain. Making the square were mostly restaurants where you could eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner outside, or inside if you would prefer. You were not near crowds of people and it was a great atmosphere to be in. Watching birds flying and the French walking their dogs. From the back of the hotel was another massive square, similar to the small one, but three of four times bigger. This had a massive fountain where everybody had their picture taken at. It must have been famous. These areas were kept very clean and healthy too. Making it a square, around the sides were chocolate shops, bakeries, and fast food. This was such an elegant place to be, even if there was a McDonalds there. It looked like a popular place. You could see a road from the fountain which was filled with cars. A few minutes away from the hotel is a zoo, museums, markets, and very nice shopping centers.

::::Overall::::
Overall, I found the hotel a fabulous place to be. The weekend went so quick, and I would love to go back. I think if I had enough money (which I don't know the cost of), I would definitely go back and show my other friends. They would love it, but is very hard to put into words. It looked such a special place to be - the atmosphere of other visitors and staff helped. It is fantastic.

::::What Would I Change::::
I would not change a thing about this hotel. It is great to see a hotel that is made to look so old fashioned. Every thing about this hotel is good. The hotel staff are always thinking of the visitors - always. I am glad that we got to visit this hotel, and has made me picture Lille in a whole new light.

I have added additional pictures as the picture used on Ciao is wrong, so please check these out.
