Rubys Inn, A jewel in the Canyons!!!

Advantages: Clean, courteous, good food, great location, easy access
Disadvantages: all the one night coach stop over people

We recently had the pleasure of staying 5 nights at Rubys during a road trip that my husband and I starting from Las Vegas. Our trip started at LV, took in tthe Grand Canyon, then onto Lake Powell, then to Bryce Canyon and finally back to Las Vegas. We chose to spend 5 nights at Rubys because of the scenery, the things to do and just to explore somewhere that little bit different. Location - Well its absolutely stunning! Rubys inn is at the gateway of Bryce Canyon which in my opinion is breathtaking and a must for those of you visiting this area. We travelled a few hours from Lake Powell (probably 4 hours) but the time goes so fast because theres so much to look at and the driving is so easy, theres nothing on the roads!! We started to see the red rock formations which opened onto this vast plain and there nestling ...

Review of Best Western Rubys Inn, Bryce Canyon

best choice from best western

Advantages: Location, standard, staff and food and drink
Disadvantages: None for me!

've never eaten in here so cannot comment on this restaurant. The bars in the hotel are actually pretty reasonable - considering some of the bars in altrincham can quite expensive, I would say the bars in the hotel are about the same price wise. They have the main bar at the front which is open to the public as well, which now has an ouside seating area due to the new smoking ban and they also have a bar in the bigger of the two function rooms, plus a couple of smaller bars for the smaller function rooms. Function rooms: Now the hotel has 11 functions rooms overall of which some are actually two of the smaller ones that can be extended byt doors to creat some of the bigger ones. They are popular for wedding receptions as of their location and because of the size and also because the hotel has free parking for 200 cars so, it's a good ...

Braemar Report

Advantages: Quiet, away from it all, great base for activities.
Disadvantages: None

Being a hill and mountain walker and person who generally enjoys life in the high lands of Scotland, it is quite inevitable that I will journey to the town of Braemar on occasion. I went there a few years back, camping with a few mates, using the place as a base whilst we went off to 'bag' a Munro (mountains over 3000 feet) or two. I am not here to discuss those specific hills, though, but to talk about this little town. Braemar is well known for it's walking - as I have mentioned. It is right within the grasp of the famous and notorious Cairngorms. The area contains some 24 Munros, with three over 4,000ft. This is truly beautiful and breathtaking scenery, and even if you go just to view the place and take photos it is worth it! The town has the highest 18 hole golf course in the country, and at 2,100ft the highest through road in ...
