Ebony and Irony do Golden Sands

Advantages: Proper brand name Coke and large bottle servings - I'm easily pleased, y'see
Disadvantages: The busy areas are even busier at night

There's a song that features on the soundtrack of many of my favourite films that goes: "No matter where we go, London, Paris, Rome, It feels like Anywhere, USA" It's never something I really understood, since to me those three capitals are all very different from each other, and to anywhere in the USA that I've been, but I figured it was written by someone who'd never actually left the States, and who based their assumptions on the Hollywood version of Europe that comes across in films. But, then I went to Bulgaria, and a week on my overriding thought is that Golden Sands could have been anywhere, really, or at least any package holiday destination - it has bits of Greece, bits of Spain, bits of Malta and bits of lots of other places if you take the time to look Though people who (a) live there or (b) stayed a small distance ...

Rubys Inn, A jewel in the Canyons!!!

Advantages: Clean, courteous, good food, great location, easy access
Disadvantages: all the one night coach stop over people

We recently had the pleasure of staying 5 nights at Rubys during a road trip that my husband and I starting from Las Vegas. Our trip started at LV, took in tthe Grand Canyon, then onto Lake Powell, then to Bryce Canyon and finally back to Las Vegas. We chose to spend 5 nights at Rubys because of the scenery, the things to do and just to explore somewhere that little bit different. Location - Well its absolutely stunning! Rubys inn is at the gateway of Bryce Canyon which in my opinion is breathtaking and a must for those of you visiting this area. We travelled a few hours from Lake Powell (probably 4 hours) but the time goes so fast because theres so much to look at and the driving is so easy, theres nothing on the roads!! We started to see the red rock formations which opened onto this vast plain and there nestling ...

Review of Best Western Rubys Inn, Bryce Canyon

Best Western Le Donjon Les Ramparts certainly not Best Value

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Split into different buildings, expensive.

?? you guessed it back in the first building we visited. Begrudgingly we made our way back across the city, dodging ?sword sellers? on the way. RoomsThe building itself looked ?ok? I can?t really describe it any other way, it was a square building with grey walls but on entering it was actually very well set out. Stone floors and stairs, interesting antiques and very clean so I was quite looking forward seeing the rooms. Well I was disappointed. The rooms pictured on the Best Western website looked nothing like ours. I can only imagine that they are executive rooms and not standard ones. While ?grumpy?s? room had been recently refurbished ours looked like something from the Crossroads Motel. (Old midlands soap opera). It was shabby! The furniture had seen better days, the walls could have done with a lick of paint and you had ...
