central and strategic position it is easy to move for reaching all the wellknown places, either by bus or by boat, because it is possible to embark directly from the Hotel for Amalfi, Emerald Grotto, Positano and Capri. It is really wonderful to appreciate the beauty of the coast by the sea. Driving up on the mountain, there is Ravello, Town of the music, where Wagner composed the Parsifal, famous in all the world for its two beautiful villas Rufolo and Cimbrone (this last one is just like a terrace overlooking the coast ). Amalfi, an old Marine Republic town, is important for his S. Andrew Duomo, the Paradise Cloister, the Arsenals and the Emerald Grotto. Amalfi is well connected to Capri with boats and hydrofoil. The isle of Capri is unique in the world, famous with his Faraglioni, the Blue Cave, the square, Anacapri and the villas. Taking the motor-way, not far from the coast, there are Pompei with his Excavations, the volcano Vesuvius and Paestum with his temples. Coming back from this trips or during the spare time it is nice to go for a swim into our sea and admire the waterfall that comes directly from Ravello. In the end we wish to all our guests a wonderful holiday.
Advantages: Beautiful, Italian, romantic Disadvantages: Very narrow roads and very hilly
...The Amalfi coast is possibly one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world. We got engaged there, in Ravello, so it obviously holds a very special place in my heart. There are several towns which are beautiful to stay in. We were based in Positano which is split into 2 areas by a deep ravine. All hotels are ont eh cliff face with fantastic views out to sea. Positano can get a bit touristy in high season so I would recomend going in Spring time - late April through to early June. There are also many good places to eat to suit most budgets and a couple of very special hotels if your budget allows. Otherwise there are plenty of excellent guest houses which are clean and comfortable.
Amalfi itself is an historically interesting town and well worth a visit. As is Ravello on the top of the hills, famous for Wagner stories...

...is to stay in one place and use it as the base for a series of circular or there-and-back outings. This has the benefit of simplicity in booking and obviates any need to pack light in order to heft your belongings around with you, as well as worries about running out of clean dry clothes. Against this, the best local circuits are quickly exhausted, and if the base hotel, inn or campsite is a disappointment, you’re either stuck with it or faced with a big upheaval in moving on.
The other option is to travel light, taking only what you can carry. That way, you have variety in terrain covered and sights seen, and the sense of achievement in travelling a long distance. Against this, you have the burden of carrying your gear, and the bother of finding new places to stay each night.
Inntravel aims to resolve this dilemma by taking the chore...

...ends with a hotel stop along the way.
On the 2007 journey this was Belgium, France, Northern Italy then finally to Sorrento..
Some may argue that spending such a lengthy period of time on a coach is not the way to enjoy a holiday...but the scenery is outstanding. (LETS FACE IT FOLKS...ITS A COACH HOLIDAY!)
I dare you to fall asleep during the trip through Europe!!
Especially through the Alps and Switzerland...BREATHTAKING!
It beats looking at the clouds on a flight!
Each day of the journey to Sorrento is broken by frequent stops along the way and ends with an overnight Hotel Stop at a 2 or 3 star (BestWestern TYPE Hotel).
The arrival at these hotels is usually during the late afternoon.
Again...Luggage is delivered to you hotel room by portering staff (NO NEED TO LIFT A FINGER!)
Dinner is served each evening (normally from a menu of 3...
