...Recently returned from a week long break in Rhodes staying at the Atlantica Beach Hotel in Kolymbia. It is an all-inclusive hotel costing £460 per person for a week at the end of September. For anyone who hasn't been to Rhodes are is looking for an all-inclusive break, I would recommend this without hesitation. The foos is fantastic and you can eat as much as you like. The drink flows until you can have no more and it covers everything including soft drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. Service is brilliant and it is set in a stunning part of the island. The beach is only 200m away and it is a beautiful sand and stone beach. The weather was hot and sunny every day and a tan is easy to get. Did a day trip to Rhodes and Lindos. ...Rhodes is a large island, great for hikers and bikers. The Old Town is probably the best preserved Medieval city on earth. And the scary thing is- it's still being lived in. When the tourists thin out in November and the Disneyland of mean little shops finally shut- the old town continues- dark and smelly- but authentic. Rhodes town is a big night life spot. Discos galore. Difficult to find a decent place to eat- pretty much the same fare everywhere. Rent a car and get out into the island. Lahania is magical. Lindos great for tourists. The east coast has the beaches for swimming- the west is a rougher sea and more deserted. Head for the mountains, drink Suma and eat lamb. But Greeks drive like maniacs so use care all the time....

Advantages: large pool and situated on pebble beach Disadvantages: 15 min walk into town centre
...the corali is a nice hotel clean but basic,the food there is of the very best in rhodes as the greek reasturant stays open all year and is quite famous.tsampika and her staff are very nice and freindly.only problem is if you want hot water go for your shower at about 40clock as there is limited suplies.it is a short walk into town center and there is very litle lighting on the way back which you have to be careful as you are walking along a main road.there is a shop on site and a one across the road.the maid servise is everyday with bedlinen and towel changes once a week.the reasturant is very reasonable price wise with full english breakfast at 4 euros 50 .they have kariokee one tuesday night.recomended if you dont mind basic accomadation...
