We recently had the pleasure of staying 5 nights at Rubys during a road trip that my husband and I starting from Las Vegas. Our trip started at LV, took in tthe Grand Canyon, then onto Lake Powell, then to Bryce Canyon and finally back to Las Vegas. We chose to spend 5 nights at Rubys because of the scenery, the things to do and just to explore somewhere that little bit different.
Location - Well its absolutely stunning! Rubys inn is at the gateway of Bryce Canyon which in my opinion is breathtaking and a must for those of you visiting this area. We travelled a few hours from Lake Powell (probably 4 hours) but the time goes so fast because theres so much to look at and the driving is so easy, theres nothing on the roads!! We started to see the red rock formations which opened onto this vast plain and there nestling ...
Advantages: A good town centre pub with a varied client mix. Disadvantages: Occasional blip in beer quality.

~~~THE LOOK.
The Rutland is on the corner of one of the pathways into the Crooked Spire. It is a whitewashed building that often has very pretty hanging baskets and window boxes on the outside. There are doors on the front and the side ~ both are accessible by steps only and there is no disabled access to the toilets (they are quite narrow and the cubicles are small). There isn?t a beer garden, but there are a few tables (the wooden ?picnic table? style) outside the side fire doors and people often stand around this area during warmer evenings ~ standing is the best option because the tables and chairs have, quite frankly, seen much better days.
Once inside you will find a predominantly varnished wood interior (including floor) with two bars ~ one ...
