Advantages: Good atmosphere, la Grande Salle, Disadvantages: Expensive, small screens
not cheap, but then, none of the cinemas in Paris are, and this one definitely offers something in the way of history and ambience. Concessions are available for under 12s, over 60s and students. The price is also lower if you visit before midday. The Grande Salle costs more, the full price tickets being 9? for the Grande Salle and 7.30? for the ordinary rooms.
Les Etoiles du Rex
Since this is no ordinary cinema, an 'interactive' visit behind the scenes is available - with audio guides in English, French, Italian and Spanish. The tours last 50 minutes and are something which I have not experienced. A tour on its own costs 9? although if you chose to purchase a film ticket with it, you pay 14.80?.
A guided tour of LeGrand Rex AND the Etoiles du Rex interative tour will take 1h50 and will set you back 15.50?. I don't think that ...

VIP Tours of California - GrandTour of Los Angeles
On my way home from my GAP year away my husband and I decided to stop in LA. We stayed in a Holliday Inn hotel near LAX, once we arrived here we found a brochure on VIP Tours and decided to go on what they call the most popular tour which was called the 'GrandTour of Los Angeles'. It cost in American dollars $59 (adult) and $40 (child). One American dollar is roughly equal to roughly 0.6 United Kingdom Pounds.
It was very easy to book this tour with the representative in our hotel for the next day. We had a few different times we could have chosen to go on out tour. On the morning of the tour a bus lifted us at the hotel and took us to their offices so we could pay for the tour and change buses to start the tour. This annoyed me slightly as I felt that we were wasting my ...
Advantages: Unusual and brilliant spectacle Disadvantages: Its all in French!
We have travelled to the Vendee region of France several times and we had heard about The Grand Parc at Puy du Fou but it is billed as a Medieval Theme Park and it really didn't appeal to me! However having "done" many of the attractions in the area and faced with another day of dodgy weather (we were very unlucky in 2008) we decided to give it a go.
The tickets were about 25 euroes for adults and 15 for children. However when I enquired about directions at our campsite office they told me that we could buy tickets from them with a 5 euro discount each. This seems to be common practice in the area so either book online or through your accomodation if possible to bag a bargain! They also informed me that it was a simple journey and would be well signposted off the A87. They mentioned that the road to The Grand Parc gets busy ...
