the signs for Whistler Village which we were advised to head for; the village itself is very modern and very big, with hotels all over the place I saw at least 4-5 of them and loads of shops. We followed the signs for the car parks of which there are 3 large ones, but one was closed as there was some building work going on, probably building more ready for next year?s Winter Olympics. The car park is not marked out into bays like over here; it was just a bit of land that people literally parked where they liked and even blocked you in at times or at least made it difficult to get out (I do hope they sort that out for next year). Some of the 4 x 4?s are so large here; we actually saw one parked up on a bank as there was nowhere else to park. We didn?t realise it at the time but we were visiting slightly out of their busy seasons and the car ...

Advantages: Luxury hotel in Whistler Disadvantages: I had to go home!
I stayed at this Four Seasons Hotel during July 2005. Not quite the right season perhaps to go to Whistler, as it's associated with skiing and wintersports (hence the 2010 Winter Olympics) but it was a trip organised by my company so I didn't have much choice in the matter. I was there for four days and loved every minute!
Whistler itself is an outdoor community, in that if you're into sport and activity there's plenty to do. During the winter you can ski down the mountain, but when there's no snow, the Canadians just mountain bike down it instead.
The hotel is fantastic. It's not in the centre of Whistler, but Whistler is small enough to make it within easy walking distance of everything.

It really is in a very convenient location and the LOCATION is its greatest asset. It is a three star hotel in an area containing five star holiday attractions.
The hotel advertises its roof terrace as the sort of restaurant under the stars of everyone's dreams. I thought it was jaded and thus overrated with a distant view of the sea which was hardly on the waterfront.
The rooms are OK. I had a de-luxe room which had been reduced on-line from an advertised price of Euros 134 to Euros 75.The TV had CNN and BBC World and the bed was very comfortable.
